3 September 13, Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time SYNOD MASS UPDATE!!! Our buses are full but you can add your name to a waiting list by calling the office. Synod Opening Mass, Next Saturday, September 19th, Harbor Yard: Coffee and, 8:00am - 8:30am Our parish buses leave at 8:30am SHARP! 10:15am Procession 11:00am Mass Please note: Everyone, including children, must have a ticket in order to be allowed in. Golf carts will assist anyone who needs help from the bus to the Arena doors. The Order of Malta will assist once inside the Arena. All bags will be scanned by security No food or beverages may be carried into the Arena. Food kiosks will be open until 10:00AM. Not going to the Synod Mass but want to be a part of it? The Mass will be live-streamed at beginning at 11:00am on Saturday, September 19. Thanks to the hard work of the Diocesan Communications Office with the assistance of the Arena staff, Fairfield University, and the Archdiocese of Hartford s television production team, the Mass will be televised the next day, Sunday, September 20, on the following channels: WCCT-TV - Channel 20 10:30AM 12:30 PM Cablevision Channel 84 10:30 AM 12:30 PM

5 September 13, Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time Catechists are still needed for the following classes: Monday 4:15 grade 2 - Tuesday 4:15 grades 4, & 6. We can be reached at (203) ext. 107 or by stmattreled@gmail.com. Faith Formation Registration is now closed, including Confirmation. Classes start the week of September 28th. Confirmation classes begin October 4th. Fr. Tomi returns on Thursday, September 17th. He will be speaking at all masses next weekend and the second collection will be to benefit CHAI. Offertory Envelopes If you would like to receive offertory envelopes for your giving purposes, they are free and are sent by mail monthly. Please call or the office with your request. St. Matthew Parish Annual Report On August 29th & 30th, Msgr. Walter spoke at all the masses about the annual report for fiscal year July 1, June 30, 2015 and handed out the report to all. Copies of the report are available from the Ushers or in the Office. Car Wash to Support WYD Saturday, September 26th & Sunday, September 27th after all Masses. The Brothers of the Knights of Columbus Council would like to thank the Parish Family of St. Matthew for their tremendous generosity and support during our annual Tootsie Roll Drive.
