Our Parish School: We are part of an excellent co-sponsored elementary school: All Saints Academy. For information call: Religious Education For Children: CCD classes are held every Sunday from September through April at 9:15 am. Classes are conducted in our school building. Confessions: Daily Monday to Saturday following the 7:00 am Mass. Saturday afternoons at 3:30 pm. Sacrament Of The Sick: Sick Calls or other Emergency Calls should be made to the rectory at any time. Arrangements can also be made for regular visitations at home or hospital for Holy Communion and/or Confession. We urge you to keep us aware of parishioners who are ill in the hospital or at home. Marriages: Please make arrangements at least one year in advance. Couples are urged to solemnize their vows at a Nuptial Mass. Baptisms: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month on the First Sunday (in English) and on the Third Sunday (in Polish). A required Baptismal Program for Parents is conducted at 1:00 pm on the second Sunday of the month in Polish and on the last Sunday in English. Novenas: Every Tuesday Evening to Saint Anne following the 7:00 pm Mass. Every Thursday Evening to Divine Mercy following the 7:00 pm Mass. The Blessed Pope John Paul Society is offering a scholarship to all registered families with children in a Catholic High School. Please contact the Parish Office: ext 10 to register. This scholarship is available to all students. Your family must be a registered and participating member of OLMC. Steeple Campaign Information packets on the Campaign are found at the church entrances. You may make a gift or pledge to the campaign at any time. Next week we will list those who have donated $ or more to the campaign since the last listing on Nov. 18. Listings can also be In Memory of a deceased friend or family member. (If you do not wish to have your name listed, please contact the office.) Please prayerfully consider your donation to this necessary project. We are called to be good stewards of our beautiful church. Thank You to those who have generously responded! Help the Homeless Every Monday we distribute food cards. (McDonald s, Subway or Dunkin Donuts, KFC, Princess Market ) Please bring in JUST ONE $ 10 card (Or money!) The cards or money may be put in the wooden collection box by Blessed Mother s Altar. The Poor will bless you! (As of Nov. 24, 2012, we received $ in cash donations for the homeless.)

4 Dear Parishioners, I am most honored to have been selected by His Grace, Archbishop Myers, to serve as the Vicar Forane (Dean) of the Bayonne Vicariate. The Dean is called to promote and coordinate the common pastoral activity within the vicariate. The Dean also concerns himself with the spiritual and material welfare of the priests. The Dean seeks to bring to the Archbishop the needs and concerns of the Priests and parishes of the deanery. He also, when needed, represents the Archbishop or local Bishop, in church and civic functions. If there is anyway in which I can serve you as the local Dean, please feel free to contact me. I have made available this weekend a copy of my appointment letter. The term will be for 5 years. Please pray for me as I assume this duty. Msgr. Ron Christmas Confessions There are ample times to come to the Sacrament of Penance for Christmas. At Mt. Carmel, a priest is available each morning, Monday through Saturday, at 7:30 AM. Also Saturday afternoons : 3:30 4:00 PM Confession with visiting priests: Dec. 17 at O.L. of Mt. Carmel - 7:00-9:00 PM Monday Advent Evening Prayer. These prayer services are sponsored jointly by all seven Catholic parishes in Bayonne. Next Service: Monday, Dec. 3 at 7:45 PM Saint Andrew s Church Holy Hour for the Rights of Immigrants. Dec. 6 7:00 PM St. Henry s Church Jesus, Mary and Joseph were immigrants in Egypt. Next weekend, members of FOCUS ( Fellowship of Catholic University Students) from Seton Hall University will be speaking at our Masses. FOCUS young adults are Catholics who spend a year or two of their lives bringing Christ to students at colleges and universities. They spoke at our parish last year and our response to their needs was very generous. They are seeking voluntary financial support to enable college students from Seton Hall to attend a Catholic retreat in Florida in January with other students from the USA. The retreat cost per student is $ Bus transportation is $ per student. (Perhaps someone would consider sponsoring a student for the retreat or the bus transport.) After the Masses, they will be at the church doors with baskets to receive free will offerings. Msgr. Ron s footnote: If you would want to sponsor a student you may write a check out to Mt. Carmel Church for your tax purposes. For more information about FOCUS or this project: (605) or Rummage Relief Bayonne Senior Girl Scout Troop is sponsoring a Rummage Sale to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. Saturday, Dec. 8 9AM - 5 PM (Set up: Friday, Dec pm) Recreation Center 597 Broadway (near 27th St.) All are invited to bring items and to run a table. 5 Drodzy Parafianie. Zostałem zaszczycony, przez Jego Eminencję Arcybiskupa Myers, funkcją dziekana dekanatu Bayonne. Dziekan, ma za zadanie koordynowanie działalności duszpasterskiej, troskę o jakość posługi kapłańskiej w dekanacie. Dziekan troszczy się również o opiekę duchową i materialną kapłanów. Informuje arcybiskupa, o potrzebach i obaw kapłanów i parafii dekanatu. W razie potrzeby reprezentuje arcybiskup lub miejscowego biskup, w kościelnych i świeckich uroczystościach. Dziekan troszczy się o właściwe zabezpieczenie potrzeb religijnych mieszkańców dekanatu. Jeśli jest tak potrzeba, w której mogę pomóc, proszę o kontakt. Powierzoną mi funkcję będę sprawował przez 5 lat. W ten weekend będzie dostępna kopia listu umożliwiającą umówienie się na spotkanie. Proszę o módlitwę na czas sprawowania tej funkcji. Msgr. Ron OPŁATEK W tym roku opłatki na stół wigilijny można nabyć od nastepnego tygodnia przy wyjściu z koscioła, jak również w Kancelarii Parafialnej. Jest to piękna tradycja, kiedy przy wigilijnym stole możemy podzielić się z rodziną i przyjaciółmi składając sobie świateczne życzenia. REKOLEKCJE ADWENTOWE Tegoroczne rekolekcje wygłosi ks. Jeżeli nie włączyłeś się jeszcze w nasz projekt remontu, możesz uczynić to w każdej chwili.w następny weekend opublikujemy dalszą listę ofiarodawców (od 18 listopada), którzy ofiarowali 250,00 dolarów lub więcej. Ofiarą można uczcić pamięć zmarłeg przyjaciela lub członka rodziny.
