May she rest in the peace of the Lord. CINCINNATI, OHIO HOLY HOUR FOR THE DYING Join us for the Holy Hour for the Dying on the last Tuesday of each month. We will meet this month on March 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 2 of the Parish Center. Third Week of Lent Encounter Dhathcroos family The Dhathcroos family returned home, after fleeing violence in their country, to build a prosperous farm and become a vital contributor to their community. How can you assist refugees in your community to rebuild their lives? How can you support refugees worldwide who are fleeing violence in their country? Visit crsricebowl.org for more. VOTIVE LIGHTS Envelopes for requesting a Votive Light are on the Communion railing near the Blessed Virgin altar and close to the door as you exit by the Infant of Prague statue. On the envelope you can designate an intention. The usual donation is $2 to cover the cost of the candle. Candles are lit on Thursday for the week. Envelopes may be put in the collection basket on the weekend or brought to the Parish Office. If you have any questions, please call , ext. 0. PARENTAL PREPARATION FOR THEIR INFANT S BAPTISM Baptisms take place on the first two s of each month (except during Lent) at 1:00 p.m. Parents requesting Baptism of their first child are asked to attend a preparation session. During this time, we will look at the history and theology of the sacrament, reflect on our own Baptism, and look at ways to pass the Catholic faith on to our children. Godparents are encouraged to attend as well. Our next session is scheduled for, April 28 after the 11:30 a.m. Mass in church. Please call the Parish Office at , ext. 411 with questions about Baptism or to let us know that you will join us on April 28. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick The Sacrament of the Sick is a healing sacrament of the Church. Anyone who is sick or elderly and in need of physical or emotional healing can come to this sacrament which will be communally celebrated annually. Those who would like to receive the sacrament before a hospital stay or surgery are invited to call the Parish Office to make arrangements. The sacrament is also available to those who may be near death. Please call the parish emergency line. Someone will respond to your call. Please inform the Parish Office when a member of the parish is hospitalized. Considering Entering the Catholic Church? RCIA is the process through which adults are fully initiated into the Catholic faith community. The process provides for different levels of entry. To obtain more information, call Deacon Mark Bardonaro at Infant Baptisms Attendance at a Parent Pre-Baptism Session is required. Call the Parish Office at , ext. 0. Sacrament of Reconciliation Every Saturday, 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., or by appointment. Sacrament of Matrimony One of the engaged or his/her parents must be a registered and active parishioner for six months prior to scheduling a wedding. Scheduling must take place at least six months in advance of the wedding. Weddings are not scheduled during Advent or Lenten Seasons. A marriage preparation program is required. Communion for the Sick and Homebound Please call the Parish Office to request this service.

3 THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT MARCH 24, LAS VEGAS NIGHT THANK YOU for your support of our Las Vegas Night held on February 23. We netted $9,900 from this event which will be used for parking lot upgrades and other capital improvements in the parish. If you were unable to attend, please consider a donation using the Capital Improvement Fund envelope in your box of envelopes. THANK YOU also for your donations throughout the year. DOMINIC NEWS FOLLOW THE PATH TO JESUS The school children have created a display in the Gathering Place to serve as a reminder to follow Jesus this Lenten season by focusing on fasting and sacrifice, praying and almsgiving. Join them in their journey! EDUCATION COMMISSION SEEKING CANDIDATES The St. Dominic Education Commission is seeking at least three candidates for the three-year term beginning next academic year. The time commitment is one meeting per month during the school year, in addition to volunteering at the School Open House in January, the February Las Vegas Night, and the Festival. There are also additional opportunities to serve on subcommittees of the Commission as they arise. If you are interested, please contact Peter Gibbs, Chair, at or pgibbs81@yahoo.com, or Kim Luebbering, Vice Chair, at or kaoverberg@hotmail.com prior to April 8. Induction of new members will take place at the May meeting. The primary function of the Education Commission is to recommend and determine policies that authorize and guide educational programs promoting the achievement of parish objectives. The Education Commission monitors and evaluates the implementation of the educational policies in the parish and is a support mechanism for the administration of St. Dominic School. The Commission consists of nine voting members elected annually for a three-year term. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month, September through May, in the school library at 7:00 p.m.

DOMINIC CHURCH LITURGICAL MINISTER MEETING We will have a meeting with all Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist on April 8 at 7:00 p.m. in church to review procedures and correct a few errors. PRAYER BLANKETS We have many prayer blankets blessed and sewn with love and prayers for those who will receive them. It is a symbol of our faith community s covering of prayer for the individual who receives it. This simple labor of love touches the lives of those who are going through difficult times. Prayer blankets can be picked up in the Parish Office between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. MISCELLANEOUS CINCINNATI, OHIO HEALING SERVICE Wednesday, March 27 at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center (5440 Moeller Avenue). Rosary begins at 6:45 p.m. and Mass at 7:15 p.m. Healing service after Mass. Come to Jesus for healing. Call with any questions. DELHI SENIOR CENTER (647 Neeb Road) has a dance on the first of each month from 2:00-5:00 p.m. There is live music. The cost is $6 per person and includes beer, soft drinks, potato chips, pretzels and popcorn. Everyone is welcome. The next dance is scheduled for, April 7. The Delhi Senior Center also has free Line Dancing on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. Come and have fun! CINCINNATI CATHOLIC MEN S CONFERENCE Attention men, fathers and sons!
