3 St. Patrick s Has Refinanced Its Mortgage Because our current mortgage terms were scheduled to expire in October, the Finance Committee recently began to review refinancing options and made their recommendation to the Vestry. This week, on behalf of the Vestry, our Wardens closed on a refinance with Thrivent Financing who specializes in Church loans. We negotiated a lower than market rate over twenty years, saving current and future costs, while providing options towards flexible mortgage payments in the future. Our Diocese and Bishop supported the Vestry decision. This action has further improved St. Patrick s overall financial outlook. Special thanks to Bob Berini of the Finance Committee whose hard work over many months has made this all possible. Any questions about our new mortgage should be directed to Ginger Missert, our Vestry Lead for Finance, or David Page, Treasurer. Universal Christ Conference (March 28-31) Universal Christ Conference with Richard Rohr is March You can be a part of this national conference without leaving home. St. Peter s Episcopal Church in Charlotte is offering live-streaming of the conference free of charge and is simply accepting donations for Rohr's Center for Action and Contemplation. You are invited to come for all or part of the conference. Click here for the schedule. Opportunities for Youth, Children & Families to Serve in March Saturday March 9, youth and families are asked to march in the Mooresville St. Patrick s Day Parade. Sign up sheets are in the Narthex. Be The Sermon Sunday is March 10, following the 10:30 a.m. service. Afterwards we will get some lunch together and maybe see a movie. 4 Prayer Lists If you or someone you know is in need of prayer, contact Rick Krumel to be added to the prayer chain or Lisa Underwood to be added to the Sunday morning prayer list. Reserve the Altar Flowers Every Sunday our church is blessed to have beautiful flowers grace our altar. Donating altar flowers is a simple way to honor a loved one, glorify God, and beautify the altar. You can choose any Sunday and include a description of who you would like to dedicate your flowers to. It can be done in honor of a person or in memory of someone, in celebration of an anniversary or other milestone, or in thanksgiving for friends or family. Their names will appear in the bulletin on the Sunday you select. If you prefer, you can simply give the flowers to the Glory of God. If you would like to share in this opportunity, click here to sign up. Sign up for St. Patrick's Realm If you have not received an invitation to join Realm, it may be because we don't have a correct address on file. Please call the Church Office or e- mail our Realm Administrator, Joe Konen, to be sure we have your correct e- mail address and phone number. "Suer-users will be available after both Sunday services to assist with questions, logons etc. Once registered, please go to to update your own information or stop at the Church Welcome or Connect Desks on Sundays to fill out an "Update Your Information" card.
