We will be hearing from the Gospel of Saint Matthew for the rest of the year, with the first reading intended to prepare us in some way for the day s Gospel. The second readings proceed through several of Saint Paul s letters. As we settle down to summer living, these next few Sundays focus on what it is like to be a disciple. MARY S SOCIETIES, ORGANIZATIONS & EVENTS The Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe meets on the first Monday of each month after 6pm Mass, members will attend mass before the meeting. All members are encouraged to attend and new members are always welcome. Adult Bible Reading meets on Tuesday evenings at 6 PM in the parlor. Also weekend readings studied at 1:30PM in the Parlor. All are invited to join.

5 Building up God s Kingdom: Come join a labor of love, beading rosaries, one prayer at a time. Thursday s in the Parlor at 1:30pm. The Altar Society meets on the third Monday of the month at 5:15pm in St. Hubert s Hall, next meeting will be the 17 th of July. They support the various liturgies with their time and talent. For more information contact Brenda Workman. Come join us for scripture study of the Sunday Gospel, Bilingual Readings with Fr. Yesu in the parlor, on Tuesday s at 1:30PM. SUMMER no Bible Study It will resume in August. The Knights of Columbus meet on the third Wednesday of each month in the Parish Center Hall at 7PM. Questions about Annulments? If you or anyone you know is in need of an annulment of a previous marriage, we invite you to see Deacon David Workman for more information on how to begin the process for an annulment. Baptismal Class will be held every second Friday of the month at 6:00pm in the parlor. The next class will be July 14, Please contact the church office for information. San Angelo Office for Immigration Services The San Angelo Immigration Services Office, Located at the Franciscan Resource Center, 133 W. Concho, Suite 108, in San Angelo on Mondays from 8am to 5pm, and Tuesdays from 8am to 4pm. The Vocation office is live: the webpage and link at The Franciscan Resource Center is located at 133 W. If you are going to be in the hospital please make sure that the hospital knows that you are Catholic and publishes this on their census. If you do not do this, the Ministers to the Sick who visit the hospitals with Communion will have no way of knowing that you are there. Please also inform St. Mary.

6 ANNOUNCEMENTS Two Flat Screen TV s are missing from the CCD office, if you have borrowed them, please return ASAP!!! Father Yesu will be gone from June 21st to July 12 th. During this time, there will only be evening mass times on Monday & Wednesday and Communion services only on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. July 8 th & 9 th Food for the Poor Ministry, Fr. Gus Gordon will be here to speak This weekend, Fr. Daniel Maurer, C.J.D., from Most Holy Mother of God parish will visit our parish to speak about the Roman Catholic Mission Churches in Eastern Russia. A second offering will be taken for the missions. Father s Day Cards.. We know that some dads received Fr. Yesu s Father s Day cards late. It was due to the size of the envelope and was returned for postage. We apologize, and hope that you all had a blessed day. United Blood Service Drive on Sunday, July 16 th from 8:00 am until noon. Contact Rick to set an appt. Since Father Yesu is out of town, First Friday Adoration on July 7 th will only be a Communion Service at 7:30am

7 Guadalupe Society Members will be having a Spiritual Gathering on June 30 6:00 pm There will be food and visiting. Guadalupe Society will not have a meeting in July Crosses Some of our lectors and Eucharistic Ministers have inadvertently worn their crosses home after serving on Saturday & Sunday. If you have one of the crosses at home, PLEASE return to the church Thank you. The Altar Society is looking for donations for their fundraising garage sale August 4 th & 5 th. Items needed are household items such as clothing, appliances, kitchen items, furniture, home décor, yard & garden items, toys, bicycles, tools, and almost any other usable good. Things can be left at the parish office or call Frances to make arrangements. New Deacon Class? What is a deacon? The Come & See sessions will help answer your questions. These informational sessions are being presented in Abilene and San Angelo. The inquiry period begins in September The Abilene meeting is scheduled for July 12th at Holy Family Catholic Church from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The San Angelo Meeting is scheduled for July 15 th at Sacred Heart Cathedral from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
