What a weekend! the Fourth Sunday of Advent, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day all rolled together... On behalf of Monsignor Villani, Father Mike, and I, along with Deacon Bob and Arlene, the Pastoral and Parish Staffs, I offer each of you our prayerful best wishes for a peace filled, joyful, and holy Christmas. Being ready or not doesn't matter so much, recognizing how much we need Christmas is another story... I know how much I need it and I hope you do too... We have heard the promise of the scriptures again this Advent. We need to celebrate Christmas with "Great Expectations" of all the Lord can do! The need for a savior in our society is obvious. Recognizing that Jesus is the answer and choosing to follow Him, another story. Let's pray with and for each other as Christmas begins... We welcomed the Peace Light from Bethlehem just weeks ago and now we welcome the Light Himself, Jesus, the Prince of Peace! May His light fill our hearts and brighten our days... Living like Him may we, together, bring his peace to the world. I am grateful to the parish staff and may volunteers for the beautiful Advent celebrations. We had a powerful mission preached by Bill Wegner, the decorating and lighting of the Nativity scene, trees, and angels. the church decorations, the incredible celebrations for Our Lady of Guadalupe, the beautiful Lessons and Carols Program with all four choirs and the hospitality offered by the scouts. All this plus the Christmas Fair, brunch with Santa, and the Holiday Raffle! Quite an Advent! May the Feast of Christmas open our minds, hearts, and homes, to the abundant blessings that only the Father, Son, and Spirit can offer! Thanks to everyone who shopped for the GIVING TREE gifts. Through your generosity in the Poor boxes throughout the year, we were able to give generous checks to Providence House, The Tablet Bright Christmas Fund, Hour Children, and Rachel's Joy! Catholic Charities will sponsor a Three Kings Celebration for our Faith Formation children on Tuesday, January 9th. Check the bulletin insert for details. Enjoy your Christmas celebrations! The rectory office will be closed on Tuesday, December 26th to give the parish staff a well deserved break! Christmas blessings, Father Peter

We invite all adorers to sign the adoration book inside the Chapel entrance. If everyone would come for even one half hour of adoration each week we would be able to fill our schedule. We will have adoration Monday through Saturday from 9-4 pm and Fridays till 7 pm. We believe that Eucharistic Adoration will transform the parish. Come and spend quality time with Jesus. Experience his healing presence. Remember, Jesus is waiting. Miracles happen. Biblical Reasons for wanting to spend one hour each week with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament: Each moment you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament BRINGS JOY, PLEASURE AND DELIGHT TO HIS SACRED HEART! My joy, My pleasure, My delight is to be with you. Reasons from the Teachings of the Church for wanting to spend one hour each week with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament: If the Pope himself would give you a special invitation to visit him in the Vatican, this honor would be nothing in comparison to the honor and dignity that Jesus Himself bestows upon you with the invitation of spending one hour a week with Him in the Blessed Sacrament. The Divine Eucharist bestows upon the Christian people an incomparable dignity. 6 PAGE SIX ST.
