Now is your chance to do so! Due to the difficulty of getting the bricks engraved and the increased cost of engraving, our Saint Mark Walk of Faith Brick Memorial Project will soon come to a close. And remember your own parish by keeping your weekly offertory up-to-date. As warm weather approaches, we encourage all who attend Saint Mark to dress appropriately for worship. Many golf courses and restaurants have dress codes; surely there should be a standard for church worship. Comfort should not dictate the standard. Pie Sale Order your pies for the Fourth of July! Due to popular demand, a pie sale from the Pie Shoppe in Laughlintown is back just in time for the July 4 Holiday. For this sale, in addition to the cream pies, fresh fruit pies, and pumpkin rolls, the Pie Shoppe Specialty Items of cinnamon rolls, snails (cinnamon sugar pie dough strips), 4-inch variety pack pies, and Gob variety pack will be available. These specialty items will not be available at our November pie sale. Extra order forms are in the back of church. 4 SAINT MARK PARISH VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Saint Mark Parish will host its annual Vacation Bible School on July 9-13 from 9:00am 12:00pm daily at the Port Vue site. The theme this year is SON GAMES, an Olympics based program for children Pre-K-6th grade. More details of the program are to be released at a later date. We are currently seeking volunteers in the following areas: snacks, recreation, TEACHERS (grades Pre-K and 5/6), teacher aides, music and crafts. Any and all talents and time are welcome. All volunteers 18 years and older (18 by July 9) MUST have VALID Act 33 and Act 34 clearances (Child abuse clearance and PA criminal background check) as well as have completed the VIRTUS Protecting God s Children workshop through the Diocese of Pittsburgh. VICTORIAN GOWNS FASHION SHOW Monday, June 4, 6:00pm Father Rowan Hall The Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild would like to invite all the women in our parish to our annual Covered Dish Dinner that closes our fiscal year. Come and get acquainted, or renew old friendships while enjoying an evening of good food and fellowship. The highlight of the evening will be a fashion show of Victorian gowns that belong to Dorothy Black. They will be worn by our members, and the commentary will be done by Chris Black.
