ORDER OF CONFESSION & FORGIVENESS In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hidden: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Most merciful God, We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word and deed; by what we have done and by what we have left undone. PRAYER OF THE DAY (in unison) O God, by the passion of your blessed Son you made an instrument of shameful death to be for us the means of life. My name is Cecie Suknaic and I am a junior, English major at Texas A&M University. I am from Austin, Texas, where I grew up attending Triumphant Love Lutheran Church. I have been involved with Treehouse Ministries for over 2.5 years now, and served as one of the Bible study leaders during this academic year as well as last year. Cecie Suknaic Howdy! I am a senior Electrical Engineering major from San Antonio, Texas. As much as I enjoy all things educational, I also like to spend my time outside of school working on and riding dirt bikes, hiking, and rock climbing. I grew up attending Abiding Presence Lutheran Church in San Antonio and have been active in Treehouse Ministries since spring I currently serve as the Bible Study Co-President for Treehouse, and was one of the Freshman Small group leaders last year. 3 AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (in unison) I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
