Nos alegra saber que estás aquí! PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS Lord of the Harvest, we petition you as you have instructed us to ask for more laborers to serve in the vineyard of Your Church. You have told us that the harvest is rich and laborers are few and we experience this great need in the face of the New Evangelization. We ask the Holy Spirit to inspire young men and women to seriously consider vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Help all of us to be effective instruments to encourage and support those whom you are calling to serve and lead the Church of Brooklyn and Queens in the future. Lord, you told the Apostles to put out into the deep. We ask for the grace and courage to accept your call as we pray and work for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest. Amen PARISH REGISTRATION Please register as a member of our parish if this is where you regularly attend church. Registration forms are available in the rectory office. Offering envelopes come with registration, and using them enables us to give you a report of your contributions for tax purposes. Having your name in our records is the only way we have of certifying that you are a practicing Catholic, as we have to do for people who are being asked to serve as Sponsors of Baptism or Confirmation. Please stop by the rectory during office hours to complete the registration form. Luke 4:18a BABY BOTTLES SUNDAY Bridge Women s Support Center (formerly The Bridge to Life) is a pregnancy resource center with locations in Flushing and Astoria. They provide pro-life counseling to women considering abortion. They also give material assistance (such as clothing, strollers, car seats and cribs) to thousands of mothers and their children each year. They are sponsoring a baby bottle fundraiser here again at St. Teresa s. Please return it this weekend of January 27th. Thank you for your support. FOOD COLLECTION TODAY The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul here in St. Teresa church is sponsoring a Food Drive to fill our Food Pantry and help those in need from our parish. On the last Sunday of each month, please bring to the church any of the following items: cereal, rice, oil, pastas, sugar, tomato sauce, juices, beans, tuna, soup, canned vegetables and peanut butter. This Sunday, January 27th 2018 CONTRIBUTION LETTER If you would like a letter of your Church contributions for 2018 please contact the Rectory office and it would be mailed out to you. FIRST FRIDAYS Friday, February 1st, and every month on the first Friday of the month, we will pray a "Holy Hour" after the 8 am Mass (in English) and at 8 pm (in Spanish). Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction will be part of the Holy Hour. Join us to worship and adore the Lord! PARISH COUNCIL MEETING There will be a Parish Council meeting January 28th, at 7:15 pm in the Rectory. LA MESA CENA Y BAILE PARA RECAUDACION DE FONDOS Sábado, 16 de Febrero - 7pm -12 am Habiendo servido a nuestra comunidad por más de 30 años y miles y miles de feligreses, es hora de decir adiós a nuestras antiguas mesas fieles para dar paso a la próxima generación. Únase a nosotros y contribuya a una importante recaudación de fondos para obtener nuevas mesas para el auditorio. Estas nuevas mesas iluminaran el camino para aun mas actividades y eventos especiales para nuestros ministerios y nuestra comunidad parroquial. El árbol de la vida se inició hace unos 30 años. La pequeña hoja era originalmente $2,000; ahora es $250. Permanecen cerca de 50 hojas. Enroll now. # FROM THE PASTOR S DESK GOOD NEWS!! The date for my PET Scan and Chemotherapy results was moved up from February 6th to January 15th! After morning PET Scan at MSK, I met with the doctors in mid-afternoon to learn that the Lymphoma Cancer is now in remission!.. Praise God! I will go every 3 to 4 months (For about 2 years) for more scans to check on things. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your prayers and support over the past several months.
