WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH THE PURCHASE OF NEW HYMNALS Our parish hymnals have become outdated and there are not enough in the pews to share with the congregation during the singing of our church hymns. It has now become necessary to replace the old books with new and current hymnals. Donations are being solicited to purchase the "Journey Song" hymnals at a cost of $17.00 per book. The goal is to have new books for St. Rose no later than January of SPECIAL NOTE: If you donate to cover the cost of a book(s) and if you wish, A PLATE WITH YOUR NAME will be attached to the hymnal(s) recognizing you as the donor. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Gloria in the parish office. The choirs will also be conducting fund raisers in the near future to help pay for books. REQUIREMENTS: Baptisms: The parents of the child to be baptized must submit a copy of the baby's birth certificate. Parents and godparents need to attend the parish baptismal class. Classes are given on the second Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Please call the office to sign up for the next scheduled class. All requirements for the Diocese of Tucson and Saint Rose of Lima will be given to the parents at this time. Baptisms are performed the first and third Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Our office staff is limited, therefore, sponsors and godparents proof of sacraments, documents and payment must be submitted at least one month before the baptism. When choosing godparents, if they are married, they must be married through the Catholic church, if single you must not be living with a partner. Donation is $ Quinceañera: The candidate and her parents must contact the office at least one (1) year or more before the date requested. Quinceañera are not performed during Holy Days. Requirements: Must have Baptism, First Holy Communion and be coming to Confirmation I. active within the parish, youth group, Religious Education, Mass attendance, etc. and Six(6) sets of meetings and volunteer ministries given by Fr. Funeral Arrangements: St. Rose and Our Lady have always asked for a donation to the Parish for its service. We also help those who can not afford funeral arrangements. We work with both mortuaries in town to make these arrangement s as easy as possible. They will waive donations if the family is in need.
