Please bring to the St. Rose of Lima office the following items: Soda (Pepsi or Coke brands only) Bottled water Tortilla chips Longhorn Cheese All-purpose flour Pinto beans Honey Cooking Oil Lard Candy for Piñatas Piñatas Items for white Elephant Sales BAKED GOODS: Cakes, Cupcakes for cake walk Come and enjoy a day of Music, Food, Crafts, Grand Prize 50/50 Raffle, 2nd prize 7-piece dinette set from Valley Furniture, 3rdprize 250 Service credit from Freedom Ford, 4th prize $100 Gas Card. Tickets are 1 for $2 or 6 FOR $10. Mariachi groups, Bingo, Games, Horseshoe Tournament, and all kinds of Vendors. Free Family Bingo. Volunteers Needed for Kitchen help and help with other activities. Sign up sheets will be available in front of the church after all Masses. Mass Change On May 6th, Saint Rose of Lima 10am Mass and the 11:30am Mass will consolidate into the 11am Mass. Attention: Because of the upcoming update of the compliance process, all volunteers who have not filled out an affirmation form for 2018 must fill one out as soon as possible to be counted as an active volunteer. Forms are in the OLG and St. Rose of Lima offices. Newman Center scholarship Program The scholarship is available to Catholic students continuing at EAC and active in the Newman Club. One full annual tuition ($2700) and two book scholarships ($500 per semester) are available. Deadline for application is May 1. Applications are available in the parish office and the EAC Foundation Office. Thank You! The Newman Sustaining Board extends its sincere gratitude to the Catholic Daughters of theamericas for its $500 donation. These funds will be used for scholarships, utilities, and maintenance of the Newman Center. The CDA has been a staunch supporter of many worthy causes and organizations over the years and we NEW EVENING BIBLE STUDY CLASS JESUS AND THE GOSPELS In the St. Matthew Classroom Your class leader will be Bob Bigando. APRIL CLASSES 04/30/18 6:30 pm- Paul and the Oral Tradition Through this in-depth 25 weeks course you will realize a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Gospels and the portraits of Jesus that they present in their own unique ways. Sign up for the course in the Parish Office, and pick up a class schedule, and information on the Bible and text that you will need to obtain for the class.

Parents and godparents need to attend the parish baptismal class. Classes are given on the second Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Please call the office to sign up for the next scheduled class. All requirements for the Diocese of Tucson and Saint Rose of Lima will be given to the parents at this time. Baptisms are performed the first and third Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Our office staff is limited, therefore, sponsors and godparents proof of sacraments, documents and payment must be submitted at least one month before the baptism. When choosing godparents, if they are married, they must be married through the Catholic church, if single you must not be living with a partner. Donation is $ Quinceañera: The candidate and her parents must contact the office at least one (1) year or more before the date requested. Quinceañera are not performed during Holy Days. Requirements: active within the parish, youth group, Religious Education, Mass attendance, etc. or Six(6) sets of meetings and volunteer ministries given by Fr. Robert. Cost is $ There is a nonrefundable deposit of $ to hold the date. Balance to the church must be received in the office one week before the ceremony. Weddings: The couple must contact office at least 6 months prior to the desired wedding date. An appointment will be made for the couple. At that time it will be determined if the date desired is available, and all requirements for the Diocese of Tucson and Saint Rose of Lima will be given to the couple. Donation is $ There is a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 to hold the date. Balance to the church must be received in the office one week before the ceremony. Funeral Arrangements: St. Rose and Our Lady have always asked for a donation to the Parish for its service. We also help those who can not afford funeral arrangements.
