We experience the warm stirring of summer and the fullness of the bountiful earth, and we are grateful. We are caught up in the rhythm of summer and we are grateful. Yet we confess that all is not right this day. We love vacations for ourselves, but sometimes begrudge them for others. We do not want the greater responsibilities left behind when others go away. We choose the ways we live our lives, and yet we re restless with the choices we have made. O God of summer richness, forgive our selfish ways. time for personal reflection On the seventh day God rested, and we can do the same. God is here to love and re-create us for the days to come. Your sins are forgiven; your life has been renewed; in the name of the Creator, Redeemer and + Recreating Spirit. Amen. 2

Lift your hearts to heaven Where Christ in glory reigns. Let us give thanks to God It is right to offer thanks and praise. Eucharistic Prayer Presiding Minister: God of spirit and flesh, grape and grain. We thank you for your love poured out as we sense your Spirit shining in the sunlight, sailing on the summer wind, and singing in the souls of each one gathered here. In the night in which he was betrayed Send your Spirit upon us and this meal; as grains scattered on the hillside become one bread, so let your Church be gathered from the ends of the earth, that all may be fed with the Bread of life, your Son. Amen. Lord s Prayer Presiding Minister: Gathered into one by the Holy Spirit, let us pray as Jesus taught Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen. 9

10 Invitation to Communion Come all people of God, come to receive Christ s heavenly food. Communion Please come forward as the ushers direct. You will be given bread. You may eat the bread and drink; or intinct (dip) in the large cup and eat. The silver cup has wine; the oversize pottery cup has grape juice. Pastor has gluten free wafers if you need, just ask. Sustained by this meal and the assurance of your grace through our Lord, Jesus Christ, may our lives reflect your presence and may you be our priority. Amen. Sending Blessing Presiding Minister: As you go forth from this place, remember to breathe deeply: breathe in the stillness of the Holy Spirit and breathe out the anxiety which overpowers us so easily.
