Nursery Care: is available for infants and toddlers at the later service. Ask an usher or greeter for directions to the infant room. We invite all baptized persons of Christian faith to receive communion. If you are not baptized, you are invited to stand or kneel at the altar rail while crossing your arms over your chest. You will receive a blessing instead of bread, and the chalicist will pass you by. Annual Giving Campaign, Now into the World This year s pledge cards have a box for you to check, that may make pledging easier for you. Those of you who pay your bills online can add St. Christopher s to your online bill pay schedule and the church will receive a check on your schedule. If you want to make ACH wire transfers, bank account information is found on the church website under Stewardship. Just check the box on the pledge card, and make sure your bank includes your name in the transfer for easy tracking. Lectio Devina - Please join us this Sunday, October 7 for Lectio Divina at 9:45 a.m. in the Library in the Education Building. Lectio Divina is a reflective reading of a Bible passage that allows you to engage with God. Please contact Christina Manning at christina.manning.cm@gmail.com or at for more information. The Annual Shrine Mont Parish Family Retreat is scheduled for October 12, 13, and 14. Shrine Mont is the Virginia Episcopal Diocese Conference and Retreat Center located about 2 plus hours from the DC area. It is on the site of an old 19th century Hotel and mineral spa nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It is also home to the Cathedral Shrine of the Transfiguration; a beautiful outdoor stone sanctuary where we will conclude our weekend worship. Cost for the allinclusive weekend is: Double occupancy adult (13 to adult) $ Single occupancy adult $ And thanks to a generous donation we are able to cover the costs for all youth 12 - under!! As we celebrate our 50 th anniversary of services to those in need, we are truly grateful to SCC s support and many contributions to our mission. St. Christopher s will hold its annual Lobster Dinner on Saturday evening, October 27 beginning at 5:30 pm. Cost for the dinner should be the same as last year but because we are dealing with the wholesale market price we can t finalize until we are closer to the date. We will also be offering the alternative Chicken dinner for those with a more land based palate. Please save the date and make plans to join us for a great evening of food and fellowship.
