We invite all baptized persons of Christian faith to receive communion. If you are not baptized you are invited to stand or kneel at the altar rail, while crossing your arms over your chest. Hypothermia Prevention Program: St Christopher's will host between homeless guests overnight at our church from Sunday, 28 January through Sunday, 4 February We need volunteers to support a range of activities. 5 Adult Formation Class Continues - Please join us at 9:15 AM on Sundays through February 11, to discuss Rachel Held Evans book "Searching For Sunday" lead by Megan Coffey. This Sunday we will discuss the section on Confirmation in light of the Bishop's visit and the confirmations being conducted. Last week we had a rousing discussion on what it is Millennials are looking for in church and how to ensure individuals with no families, potentially no spouse, feel included as well. The book is available in Kindle form for $.99 on Amazon ( ). In leading the class it's more like a sociology discussion using Evans' sources and book to formulate the discussion. Childcare is available too. Some will note that their pledge number has changed, as many did NOT want envelopes, so only 80 boxes were ordered. If your number was above 80, and you requested envelopes, your number has changed. For those who meant to ask for envelopes, and did not, please see Helen Spence. Everyone who submitted a pledge has a pledge number - whether or not you have a box of envelopes. If you still have not submitted your 2018 pledge card, or can't remember if you did, it is never too late - and Helen can verify if a pledge card was received. Open hearts are the foundation of who we are at St. Christopher's, and we are grateful for the ministry that fills this space because of those open hearts.

6 Book Discussion Group We will meet at 2 pm in the library on Tuesday, January 30th, to discuss Anthony Horowitz' Magpie Murders. Everyone is welcome. Contact Christine Meloni or Janet Quinn for more information. Preschool News: Happy New Year! Teachers, students and parents alike are happy to be back in school! We ended 2017 on a very happy note! Father Peter narrated the Christmas story and the children lifted their voices to heaven with joyful music started off with a trip over the river and through the woods on a teddy bear hunt! Pajama and Teddy Bear day was a great deal of fun with crafts, stories and a snack of pancakes and bananas - perfect activities before hibernating. It is hard to believe, but Enrollment for the school year will begin this month for current families and parishioners. St. Christopher's members who are known to the Treasurer are eligible for a tuition discount. If you have preschool age children, please call to set up an appointment for a tour! I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Finally, we are continuing to raise funds for playground repairs and upgrades. Please stay tuned for opportunities to "Dine for Dollars" at a local restaurant or buy beautiful flowers, as we get closer to the Spring.
