Call to Confession Confession The Reverend Katherine Kerr Prayer of Confession Merciful God, we become so enamored of the glitz and glitter of the world. We have so much and want so much more. Break the bonds of our attachment to greed and reward. Open our hearts to know that the riches of the kingdom are in service to you. Help us to understand the call you have given us to service, and having heard and understood that call, may we be about the work of the kingdom. We offer this prayer in Jesus name. We celebrate their commitment to membership and stewardship to God through this congregation. Part of our offering today goes to the Ten-Cents-A- Meal program, a hunger relief and at-risk youth ministry of the Presbytery of Charlotte. Children and families will pass baskets after the offering plates to collect this offering. A time of personal prayer is offered following the service. Mexico Mission Trip November 5-10: Thanks to your stewardship dollars, we will be able to equip our partner school in Merida, Mexico with electricity and kitchen appliances in the new kitchen our members helped to build. FPC has been working with Accion Ministries in the Yucatan Peninsula for many years. Come be part of this long tradition and meet our brothers and sisters in Merida! The cost of the trip is dependent on airline costs and could range from $1100- $1400.
