Divine Mercy Ministry On Sunday July 8 th, the Divine Mercy Ministry will celebrate the anniversary of this Devotion. The normal 11AM Hispanic Mass will take place at 12 noon at the Grotto outside behind the Church and Fr. Nelson will celebrate the Mass. HNM Montessori School 2018 Jeanne Marie Gagnon shares: Holy Name of Mary Montessori School had our last day on Friday the 15 th. We ended the school year with a flourish including a visit from the school bus: everyone had a chance to get on and try on a seatbelt, field day with songs and a potluck lunch picnic in Vassallo Park; our We ll Miss You Ceremony where we said good-bye to the children who are going to new schools in the fall; our annual lemonade stand (we earned $95 for the poor box) and our good-bye to Joe Faranda who has been teaching at the school since September 2013! God Bless You Mr. Faranda! There is a Raffle related to this event which is a fund-raiser for both HNM Church and the Divine Mercy Ministry. The first prize is a TV, second prize a tablet, third prize blender. Tickets will be sold after the 11AM Mass on Sundays. Also, the Ministry is planning to recognize Our Lady of Mt. Carmel at the 11AM Mass at the Chapel on July 22. Refreshments will be offered after Mass.

Summer Mass Schedule On July 15, August 19, and on each third Sunday of the month, the 10:45 Mass and 11:00 bi-linqual Mass will be combined at 10:45 in the Church WEEKDAY MASS Changes The weekday Masses (Monday through Friday) will be held at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. Also, beginning on Saturday June 9 th, Saturday morning Mass will be at 9AM at the Chapel These changes will be continued through the summer and until further notice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION 2018/2019 Panning has begun for classes that start in September. Please return your registration form with tuition this week. We must have our classes and catechists in place early in the summer to be ready for September. 5 The project to replace the original Slate roof on the Parish Rectory continues and the new roofing is already visible in some areas of the property. The Church air conditioning system s first phase is underway and 3 units have been installed at the front area of the Church. When the electrical part of the project is completed, we are anxious to give them a try, so stay tuned! If you are a parishioner who donated to the Renew + Rebuild Campaign THANK YOU! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Summer Retreat for Writers: Finding Inspiration, Contemplation, and Creativity July 5:00 pm - July 1:00 pm This retreat will be an opportunity to go a little deeper into the spiritual life, as well as the writing life. The retreat will reinforce the writer s life, (re)- discover the writer s soul, offer daily workshops, craft discussion, feedback, motivation, inspiration, time to work on new or existing projects, and time to just relax with a secluded view of the mountains and river. The retreat is open to writers of every genre. Don t forget to pack a bathing suit! Date & Time: Thurs., July 5 at 5pm to Mon., July 9 at 1pm (all meals included) Presenter: Magie Dominic Fee: $450 On Saturday, June 23rd, at 7:30pm there will be a concert in the church. Accomplished flutist, Rama Kumaran, was the youngest flute player to win the National Flute Association's Young Artist Competition. He will perform a concert of classical flute works accompanied by music director Jack Coen. Donations from the concert will benefit the music ministry.

6 Mariapolis 2018 Mariapolis 2018 will be held from July There will be presentations on the Focolare spirituality, Mass, life experiences, workshops and outdoor activities. Children and teenagers follow partial parallel supervised activities and a Nursery is available for children ages 4 and under. Every summer, the Focolare Movement, in Hyde Park, hosts this annual summer gathering. It is an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to spend a few days together, putting into practice universal values of dialogue and solidarity based on the Gospel. This year s theme A door that leads to God, invites participants to discover Mary, the mother of God, as a model for Christians today and to address the many challenges in our society.
