2 Page 2 Prior Lake Chamber News Greetings from your Chamber Chair - Kim Prchal Blahnik, Prchal & Stoll, PLLC Summer is coming to an end in Minnesota. We should all be excited for a new season, new beginnings, and fall colors, but it is hard to prepare our minds for winter. This summer was wonderful and I feel honored to have served as the Chair of the Prior Lake Chamber during such a busy time. As of this week, we are the largest Chamber in Scott County with 474 members. We are doing great things! Lakefront Days was a success despite the weather. We had great bands, attendance, activities for kids, wine expo and silent auction. We loved the new layout and look forward to working out all the kinks and making Lakefront Days even better next year. We have a unique membership meeting coming up on September 19, 2018 at Fongs. We will have FBI agent Michael Krause joining us to discuss cyber security as well as the underground cyber world. Mr. Krause has a great sense of humor even though he will discuss such a serious topic. He was humbled that we asked him to come speak and I hope we can bring to him a fun and energetic crowd so please join us and invite a friend. My charitable mention for the month of September is Let s Go Fishing. Let s Go Fishing was established in 2002 and serves to help seniors who have a passion for water. Let s Go Fishing provides boating and fishing trips for seniors and veterans. The program has expanded to serve hospice patients, youth, veterans and the disabled and since 2002 Let s Go Fishing has served over 160,000 people. This month we can help by becoming a volunteer for this organization, or by making a monetary donation. Go to scottcounty.lgfws.com. We have receipts available for anyone looking to donate. Thank you again for helping give back, giving is an integral part of any successful person or business. I hope to see you for our September 19th membership meeting at Fongs! Kim
