3 New Adventure! In an effort to raise money to help out our church and community, we are going to have our first annual (if it works out as well as we think it will!) Victory Chapel Garage Sale! We need someone to organize this venture - would you like to help?? 1. Fellowship with other women believers. 2. Growing in the Lord. 3. Learning new things. 4. Supporting other church programs with physical and financial help. 5. Passing on ideas and information from lessons and activities to others. What can we do to help? 1. 4 Canned Food Ministry Victory Chapel established a food ministry in bring something for the food drive when we arrive at every meeting. Simple! Just a can of food, a roll of paper towels, a bottle of pen to not have our meeting at the church, the supplies will be collected wherever we are and taken back to the church. Of course, we can bring food for the drive at any time, but please try to make it a part of your monthly meetings. Thanks for helping your community with your caring! Secret Sisters If you are interested in the Secret Sisters program, please see Georgia. This is a low/no cost program that requires you to send encouraging notes to your secret sister and, most importantly, to pray for her. There are sign up sheets and guidelines if you are interested. We hope you join us! Secret Sisters Bible Study We will be offering a one hour Bible Study for those interested in studying the Scriptures. We will be studying fourth Wednesday of each month, except for the months of November and December. Meet us at the church at 6:30 p.m. for an hour of studying the scriptures. We will start promptly at 6:30, have 15 minutes of prayer request/prayer, then will be in the Word of God for 45 minutes. Please try to read the chapter ahead of time so each session we can have meaningful lessons. The study leader will be Georgia Marshall. 5 COMPASSION MINISTRY This is just a new name for an old ministry! This ministry is one for the soul. If you would like to take a meal to our people who are sick, had surgery, a baby, etc. call you every time (unless needed), but it would be nice to have a list of women who are able and willing to provide food for this very important end - count yourself fortunate! That probably those who have benefited from this, you know what a huge blessing this is. Please sign below if you would like to be a part of this ministry. What Can We Do As A Group? First of all, thanks go to the women who turned in the year. It seems that everyone enjoyed the learning format where we had a guest speaker nearly every month teaching us a new craft, a new insight into missions, some good baking! There were also suggestions that we make it more of a spiritual time, which I wholeheartedly agree with! So, along with a lesson each month, we will have sign-ups for a 15 minute devotional to start the meetings with. That is why we must make it to our meetings on time - lots to do and not much time to do it in! Below is a sign-up for devotionals - perhaps you the chant from VBS FEAR NOT!!
