Welcome: Welcome to the 21 Days Journey of Prayers. Hope this Prayer booklet would help you to build a more intimate relationship with God; to be able to walk closely with Him day by day. Please allow prayers to integrate into every corners of your daily life; to develop a routine that Living is Prayer, and Prayer is Living. This booklet is not designed as a devotional exercise, but through a small scripture passage, helping you to learn and to practise how to pray. Format: 1. Scripture Meditation: With a prayerful heart, through careful reflections on the scriptures provided, allowing the Holy Spirit and His word to touch and motivate your inner self. 2. Prayer Journal: Learn through the scriptures regarding God s message to you, then keep a running record of your thoughts and prayer requests for future references. 3. Pray: Use what you have written down in your journal and spend time with God through the prayers. (Other than just a personal Prayer Journal, this Prayer booklet could also be used as a tool for sharing among family and fellowship members.) Extensions:
We hope to augment the prayer life of brothers and sisters and that our church will be revived by enhanced prayer life. We encourage you to participate in the church prayer meetings at different time so that we can pray together for God s kingdom. Please refer to the prayer meeting schedules on the last page. May God s love attract us and that brothers and sisters will keep praying earnestly and will not give up. May we experience God s abundance and that we can get to know Him more as our lives are transformed.
Day One Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. Dear Heavenly Father, please take away my fear and weakness; allow me to experience your presence and protection moment by moment, since you are my peace, my strength and my help. Do not have your concert first, and then tune your instrument afterwards. Begin the day with the Word of God and prayer, and get first of all into harmony with Him. - James Hudson Taylor
Day Two Matt 6: 9-13 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Dear God: please help me love spending time with you through prayers regularly and consistently so that I could learn how to give
thanks and rely on you. Also, please help me build a closer relationship with you and have a better understanding of your will. Day 3 2 Ch 7:14-15 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. Dear Lord Jesus: You are perfect, full of wisdom and mercy, willing to forgive our transgressions, and more willing to listen to our prayers. May our faith grow in you; so that we could follow you daily.
Day 4 Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Thanksgiving to our God of Peace for His promises and presence in this ever-changing world. We know that you are the Alpha and the Omega; Lord of the universe and Lord of All.
Day 5 Rom 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. Thank you God for granting us New Lives in Christ; Please mode my life and let it be consecrated to you. Reviving more brothers and sisters to serve you faithfully, walking in one accord, to serve as a living testimony and to touch more lives.
Day 6 1 John 3:16 & 18 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. Dear Lord Jesus: Thank you for teaching us to put our Love into Action. Please help us serve and care for the others wholeheartedly especially the needy ones.
Day 7 1 Cor 12: If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. Dear Lord Jesus: Please teach us how to love one another and bear each other s burden. Keep us close to you so that we may remain in you and be united in one heart; also, be able to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Day 8 Psalm 63: 1-3 You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. 2 I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. 3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. Prayer Dear Lord, may your mercy attract me and allow me to seek you earnestly. When it comes to decision making in all aspects of my life; I will seek your guidance through prayers. Help me develop a prayerful heart, Lord. Nothing hath separated us from God but our own will, or rather our own will is our separation from God. - William Law
Day 9 Psalm 51:1-2 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, please search my life to see whether there is any obstacle that keeps me apart from you. Help me get closer to you, Lord.
Day 10 Heb 4:`15-16 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Dear Lord, help me overcome the challenges and barriers when interacting with the other Christians. Help me live up to show your love and care for the needs of others.
Day 11 John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit fruit that will last and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. Dear God: Thank you for choosing us as your children, so that we could grow spiritually within your church. Lord, help me understand your call; and allow me to bear fruit of the Holy Spirit, and willing to devote time in prayer and supplication without ceasing.
Day 12 Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me the task of testifying to the good news of God s grace. Dear Lord Jesus: thank you for your mercy and please grant me the courage to witness for you, and to pray for our missionaries.
Day 13 Phil 2: 3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Dear Heavenly Father: please grant me a humbling heart so that I could value others above myself. Help me serve you with others in one accord as well as to care for each other.
Day 14 Eccles 4:9-10 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Dear Lord, help me become someone s spiritual partner, so that we could walk together, watch for each other, to care, to encourage, to share, to experience and to grow together in Christ.
Day 15 Psalm 103: 1-2 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits Dear Lord, help me to be mindful of your mercy and love in my prayers and my thanksgivings. I praise and worship you wholeheartedly. Our prayer must not be self-centered. It must arise not only because we feel our own need as a burden we must lay upon God, but also because we are so bound up in love for our fellow men that we feel their need as acutely as our own. To make intercession for men is the most powerful and practical way in which we can express our love for them. _ John Calvin
Day 16 Matt.11:28-29 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Thank you Lord for your provision of rest for those who are weary and burdened. Dear Lord, please grant me a gentle and humble heart. With your grace, I can find rest for my soul.
Day 17 Cor.12:9 But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ s power may rest on me. Thank you Lord for your abundant grace. Please help us remember those who are weak spiritually and physically, that they will have faith in you as your power is made perfect in weakness.
Day 18 Rom. 10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! Dear Lord: We pray for our missionaries, Christian Workers and Mission Organizations. Please allow us to understand and care for their needs. May it be our missions to spread the gospel and be a blessing to all nations.
Day 19 2 Cor. 4:7-10 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this allsurpassing power is from God and not from us. 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. Dear Lord: Thank you for your provision of this all-surpassing power when we are yet weak and limited. Thank you for the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit that helps us to live out the power and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Day 20 John 17:20-21 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. Dear God: we pray that we can experience genuine fellowship with each other; regardless of language, cultural background and age differences. Help us to accept our differences and to become one body in Christ.
Day 21 John 15: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one s life for one s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. Dear Lord Jesus: Thank you for embracing us with your love so that we can enjoy the sweetness of your presence. We pray that more brothers and sisters will participate in our Caring Ministry since you teach us to love each other as you have first loved us.
