From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. (Rev. 20:11-12) There is great solace and rejoicing for Christians during this Christmas season. We rejoice in the birth of our Savior and also in escaping the Great White Throne Judgement. Jesus took on the form of a bond-servant and became obedient to the point of death. He made a way to have our names written in the Book of Life. Be blessed, Mr. Frimmel

2 Great News! The VCS Scholastic Book Fair is taking place right before Christmas! You have the opportunity to help your child and the VCS library at the same time. See below for opportunities to volunteer during the book fair. If you would like to serve, please Mrs. Alkema at BOOK FAIR DATES: December 14-20, Thurs.- Weds. December 13th, Wednesday: Set up for the Book Fair is from 12:00-3 pm. Many hands makes light work. December 14th: Wish List Day! Parents needed to help the students create their own unique Wish Lists. AM or PM times available. December 15th, 18th,19th and 20th: Parents needed to run the cash register and help sell books from 7:45-9 am and 2-5:30 pm. December 20th at 5:30 pm - Help tear down the Book Fair so it can be picked up by Scholastic on December 21. Picture Day is Weds. Dec. 13th! Students will sit for Class Pictures, Senior Pictures and Retakes in the morning. Please send all students to school in their regular school uniform on Wednesday. If they have PE that day, they should bring their PE uniform to change into after pictures. Order forms will be going home with students Monday or Tuesday. If you are interested in purchasing pictures, please fill the order form out and send it in with your student on Weds. Pictures should be delivered to school in 4 weeks. Just a reminder to get your Schoolworx application in! The application is available on school website under the Lion s Roar tab. Just print the application, complete the information and drop it off in the school office. Approximately 7 days after your form is received, your account will be confirmed and information will be ed to you with details for setting a password for your account. Welcome one and all for a trip on the Polar Express! VCS and New Hope West Church invite you and your family to join us as we climb aboard and venture toward a foundation of our Christian faith, BELIEVING! The fun starts at 6:30 pm on Friday, December 15th on the Venice Christian School Campus. There will be crafts, games, hot chocolate and other fun activities for children of all ages before the movie. Bring lawn chairs or blankets as we will be watching the movie outside under the stars by the pavilion near the soccer field. Parents - If you need time to do some last minute Christmas shopping or just want to go get a bite to eat without the children, feel free! Please note: Children 2nd grade and under must be accompanied by an adult. The movie will start around 7:30 PM and end just before 9:30 PM. (A short Biblical message will be given about believing.) 3 Christmas High School Bake Sale! That s right; the VCS High School Bake Sale is back! Last time at the High School Bake Sale, you helped us earn over $ which we used to finance the high school end of the year party as well as the Senior Trip! We, the Venice Christian High School students, cannot thank you enough for your support. Make sure to visit the bake sale table to see what treats we have whipped up this time just in time for Christmas!
