Mighty Moon MaMa Isis THE MIND IS AN EXCELLENT TOOL from A NEW LIGHT OF HELP FOR YOU, Lesson 3 by Al G Manning, CPA, DD The mind of man is rightly credited with tremendous accomplishments. Modern science and technology are products of this potent tool. It has lengthened our life expectancy, built us comfortable air conditioned homes and buildings, provided means of communication or rapid transportation of people and things all over the world and even into outer space, and given us an ever improving understanding of our relationship to our physical environment. It is almost impossible to function in our society without a keenly developed mind that is kept free of the blocks of prejudice and negative emotion. But this very truism is also a great danger. The intellect is so necessary that we tend to blow it up to even greater importance than it should have, until it gets all out of perspective. As a result, many good and well meaning people worship at the shrine of intellect instead of the Altar of God. (One might say: yes, but all the confusion of conflicting religions contributed plenty to this situation. And you d be RIGHT, but that s not the point.) A homely example of intellect out of proportion is the worship of computers by today s engineers and managers of the big business world. But the same man who stands in awe of a big computer complex would laugh heartily at a behind the times colleague who holds similar worship services over his trusty sliderule (remember them if so you re MY age). We will maintain our perspective only if we continually harken back to the concept that YOU are a SPIRIT using a mind as one of your tools to manifest effectively through a physical body. There is simple paradox to all mental work. To be truly effective, the mind must be relaxed and quiet, yet acutely alert. People often find themselves falling asleep when they first begin exercises to control their minds. If this happens to you, don t be discouraged. Just tell yourself you are learning to relax your mind first, then you will be able to bring it to new peaks of alertness. This is our month to use the ORANGE LIGHT to lift your mind to new levels of awareness and ability. Five years or so ago two doves moved in, ALPHA and OMEGA, then a third dove was called HOLY SPIRIT. Now there are 16 doves here. It seems like progress! I love our bird friends. I think they are messengers of the Divine; so day by day we feed the birds and then hold up our cups to the Divine Creator of ALL asking to be filled, that we may have our daily slice of Light and LIFE. Part II by Michael Manning, DD March 1, 2013 When we have a stomach ache, it is hard to enjoy anything in life. But what happens when we fall asleep? Our pain and discomfort are gone. As a matter of fact, we may even dream that we are eating and enjoying chocolate ice cream and our stomach never felt better. From this example, it is clear that we think we are our body only when our mind is attached to it. Our Emotions Are Not Us Most of the people who have had near-death experiences talk about going to a place of bliss and love in which they had no emotion, at least not in the sense they perceive emotion while in their physical body. There are other ways to have this type of experience too. It is not that you are cold and callous when you are in this non-emotional state in fact, it is quite the opposite. Instead you experience a deep indescribable love even though the human-type of emotion is not there. Emotions are part of the body-mind computer software that manifest as programmed responses which are nothing more than electrochemical reactions. Look at the way we live our lives all over the world. We do it through emotional reactions reacting according to programs in the face of stimuli that we call experience and information. It is like typing in a code, pressing the enter key, and the software held in the DNA and cellular network just follows its program. There is often no consciousness involved (becoming aware of these reactions is what I call the second phase of spiritual development see my article The Seven Phases of Advancement ). Thoughts and responses come from the biological body-mind level of perception. I have read many reports and observed how many people suffer from what I call emotional addiction in that they become addicted to the chemicals that are released by different mental and emotional states. This can be an addiction to the chemicals produced by depression, sadness, grief, or worry, or the adrenalin rush that comes from competition or danger. Such people constantly manifest experiences, mostly subconsciously, that give them a fix of their emotional drug of choice. The cell receptors that absorb these emotional chemicals are the same ones that absorb heroin or cocaine. When we experience something, see something, or hear something, we react to it, most often in the same way that most others would react. People say, What is your reaction to this or that?, or Why did you react that way? This is exactly what it is, a reaction. Almost every time, if not every time, we react according to the DNA program which we inherit, and then add to the program by the way we experience what we call reality. Trauma downloaded during childhood is especially powerful in programming a lifetime of reaction and perception until it is cleared. These reactions are stored in the cells that act like computer chips. They store both the inherited program and the daily downloads that come from our experience. It is the information stored in the cells/dna that reacts to daily life on the basis of how the body-mind system has been programmed to react. Most of what people call their demons are inherited or downloaded software programs running in the body-mind system. Only by becoming truly conscious can we break this cycle and begin to take control of our lives. At that point the body-mind system would serve consciousness as a vehicle to experience this reality as it chooses. The body-mind system would no longer be the master, and we would start to live life instead of life living us. (continued in your April 2013 ESP LAB NEWS!)
