1 President The Heritage Heartbeat Painting News for Members of Palomar Heritage Painters Vol 35, Issue 1, January 2018 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Happy New Year! As we welcome in the new year, I would like to reflect on what a great year 2017 was. As a newbie to my position, what a great support team I had. The board and committee chairs did a remarkable job of keeping me focused and our chapter moving forward. I am so impressed with the level of commitment our members have committed to providing a fun and rewarding painting experience. With the new year, ahead of us, I want to express a heartfelt thanks to Debi Stivers and Carol Voyles for volunteering to chair Programs for next year. What a relief! And a special thanks to Renee and Kenna for a job well done and an incredibly organized transition. This made the job so much more manageable for our new V.P. s of Programs. But there are still jobs to be filled if anyone wants to help even in a small way. I need someone to plan the Christmas Party for 2018, and anyone who may like to take a month for raffles. Even though our chapter has money, our funds will seriously dwindle without a few raffles during the year. And, a special thanks to Ramona for the wonderful Christmas party. So many positive comments that day and over the next few. It is nice to just enjoy each other outside of a painting day. This year I look forward to the varied and challenging projects for 2018, beginning with Karen s class. Remember, chapter provides the paint. Please plan to arrive aby 8:45 to set up your pallet, I want Karen to have a full day for this beautiful piece. Finally, as we move forward this year, stay safe, stay healthy (wash your hands, those grandkids carry germs), don t take life too seriously and above all, paint! Linda I don't say everything, but I paint everything. -Pablo Picasso Linda Silvasy January 13, 2018 The French Connection Karen Ortman March 10, 2018 Mystery Paint-In February 10, 2018 Chickadees Box Sandy Garcia In this Issue Upcoming Classes & Events...2 Membership Report...2 Programs Report...3 Sunshine & Birthdays...4 Garage Sale & Potluck...4 New Resources...4 Christmas Party Photos...5 Installation of 2018 Officers...7 Gift Exchange Photos...8 Christmas Party Raffles...9 PHP Calendar Personal Notices Conventions Map to Paint-In Class Signup Sheet List of Officers Membership Form Page 1 The Heritage Heartbeat January 2018
