Experience has shown that it is best if both husband and wife (and children ) review these reminders each day thoroughly so that miscommunications and last-minute panics can be avoided, and Yom Tov can be truly celebrated joyfully. Please display on the refrigerator etc. or a place where it can be in clear view. (This applies for thirty days). then: -ותן טל ומטר לברכה If one mistakenly said :ותן ברכה.2 a. if he remembered before he finished the bracha, he starts the bracha again..ברכת השנים b. If he reminded himself before he finished the Amidah he goes back to c. However, if he finished the Amidah he has to repeat it from the beginning. Esre. : We add Yale Vayovo in the Shmone יעלה ויבא 3. If one mistakenly forgot to say it, then: a. If he remembers before he says "ה'" of שכינתו לציון" "המחזיר he says יעלה ויבא there and then continues. b. If he already said ה and remembers before he begins מודים he says it there..רצה he goes back to,יהיו לרצון c. If he remembers before he says the second d. If he remembers after the second יהיו לרצון he must repeat the Amidah again from the beginning.

If one forgot and remembered only after he began יעלה ויבא *Bentching: בונה ברחמיו he continues bentching. If, however, he remembered after saying,ברוך even if he only said."ברוך אשר נתן..." he should say what it says in the siddur,ברוך.. הא-ל אבינו of ברוך but before he said וכו'.מסכתא סוטה דף ב' *During the day: We learn *In Maariv: Sefiras Haomer - Day number Three. ערב שבת קודש, ח"י ניסן Hamoed Friday, Second day of Chol Birthday of the R Levi Yitzchok Schneerson the Rebbe s father, and the day of the Rebbe s Bris. *Shacharis:.מזמור לתודה 1. If one forgot to say it, but remembers before he says :יעלה ויבא and remembers before he "ה'" there and then continues. If he already said יעלה ויבא he says "לציון רצה he goes back to יהיו לרצון he says it there. If he remembers before he says the second מודים begins and then says ויבא.יעלה If he remembers after the second יהיו לרצון he must begin the Amida again from the beginning. Page 2 of 6

3 Sefiras Haomer Day Number Four. Kiddush and the Meal: שלום עליכם, אשת חיל, מזמור לדוד, דא היא סעודתא quietly: Say Kiddush is that of regular Shabbos. ברוך If one forgot and remembered only after he began.יעלה ויבא we add רצה והחליצנו Bentching: After he continues bentching. If, however, he remembered after,ברוך even if he only said אתה... הא-ל אבינו saying בונה ברחמיו וכו' but before he said ברוך of הא-ל אבינו,ברוך.. he should say what it says in the siddur ברוך אשר נתן.." Horachamon of Shabbos. Shabbos day, Third day of Chol Hamoed *Shacharis: The Amida is that of Shabbos and not Yom Tov and יעלה ויבא is added. If one forgot- see above (in Maariv). *After Shacharis, half Hallel is recited.. אב הרחמים * We don t say * Mussaf for שלש רגלים and we add the additions of Shabbos.. ולקחת סולת * Velokachto Soles: After Musaf we say * Kiddush and the Meal: Kiddush: Everything before Kiddush is said like a regular Shabbos, but quietly until Savri Moronon which is said out loud (and the Brocho Hagofen). ברוך If one forgot and remembered only after he began.יעלה ויבא we add רצה והחליצנו Bentching: After he continues bentching. If, however, he remembered after,ברוך even if he only said אתה... הא-ל אבינו saying בונה ברחמיו וכו' but before he said ברוך of הא-ל אבינו,ברוך.. he should say what it says in the siddur."ברוך אשר נתן...".מסכתא סוטה דף ד' *During the day: Learn מוצאי שבת Hamoed Motzoei Shabbos Chol :מעריב Four things are added in : מוריד הטל. 1 he חונן הדעת, of "ה" If one forgot to say it and remembers after he said :אתה חוננתנו 2. doesn t go back and just says ברוך המבדיל בין קודש לחול after he finishes davening.. ותן ברכה. 3.יעלה ויבא.4 [If one forgot any of these see above in the first page] recited. are not ואתה קדוש and ויהי נועם * * Sefiras Haomer Day Number Five. 4 *Havdoloh.בשמים It is customary not to use nor make a Brocho on.בורא מאורי האש A candle is used and you make the Brocho quietly. is recited ויתן לך כ' ניסן Hamoed Sunday, Fourth day of Chol *Shacharis, Cup of wine and Bentching same as previous days..מסכתא סוטה דף ה' *During the day: learn *Candle Lighting: Light 18 minutes before sunset NY: 7:23 Brussels: 8:27. If one missed the time, it is permitted to light later but only from a pre-existing flame! Those that are going to eat elsewhere (not at home) should not forget to light candles..שהחיינו and DO NOT say להדליק נר של יום טוב Say the Bracha * Maariv:: Begin from המעלות.שיר The Amida is of רגלים,שלש and then count Sefira. * Sefiras Haomer - Day Number Six. Seudas Yom Tov *Be sure that all the women, especially the guests, have lit candles..שהחיינו and do not say סברי מרנן *Kiddush: Begin from At an opportune time, it is proper to read the story of the Rebbetzin in her youth :ספר השיחות ת"ש * from השיחות ת"ש,ספר סעיפים ב,ג,ד pages and there is a fascinating explanation of the Rebbe about this in לקוטי שיחות חלק ל"ז page 14 and onward. * Bentching: is added in bentching. If one forgot to say it and remembered after יעלה ויבא :יעלה ויבא he already began the next bracha (even if he only said (ברוך he must begin bentching again. But if he remembered before he said ברוך he should say what it says in the..ברוך... אשר נתן.. siddur * Shvi i Shel Pesach At Night: It is customary to stay awake all night and learn. כ"א ניסן שביעי של פסח - Monday * Birchas Kohanim: Prepare the children for Birchas Kohanim at the end of Mussaf. * Hallel: After the Amida, half Hallel is recited. stand. is read it is customary to שירת הים During Krias Hatorah when :שירת הים *. אתקינו...אלה מועדי *Kiddush: Kiddush is that for Shalosh Regalim and we begin from Page 4 of 6

But if he."ברוך.. אשר נתן..." he should say what it says in the siddur ברוך remembered before he said."הרחמן הוא ינחילנו ליום שכולו טוב" We add :הרחמן* * During the day: * Because one is not allowed to prepare on one day of Yom Tov for the next, during the first day of Yom Tov one may not prepare anything for the night meal before nightfall (see below)..מסכתא סוטה דף ו' * We learn Pesach. Lubavitch custom is to go on Tahalucha on Shvi i shel :תהלוכה * אחרון של פסח Eve of * Preparations of the meal should only begin after צאת הכוכבים (In NY: 8:24 in Brussels: 9:30.)..שלש רגלים Amida is for,שיר המעלות *Maariv: Begins from *Sefiras Haomer - Day Number Seven One Week. Candle Lighting * Candles are lit after הכוכבים,צאת close to the time of kiddush. * Be sure to light from an existing flame. * Those that are going to eat elsewhere (not at home) should not forget to light candles..שהחיינו and DO NOT say להדליק נר של יום טוב * Say the Bracha Page 5 of 6.שהחיינו and do not say סברי מרנן * Kiddush: Of Sholosh Regolim. Begin from * During the meal Gebrokts: We stress the concept of eating שרוי' געבראקטס with every part of the meal. * Mayim Acharonim: We once again put water over the lips. * Bentching: is added in bentching. If one forgot to say it and remembered after יעלה ויבא :יעלה ויבא he already began the next bracha (even if he only said (ברוך he must begin bentching again. But if he remembered before he said ברוך he should say what it says in the siddur. "ברוך... אשר נתן... כ"ב ניסן אחרון של פסח Tuesday Birchas Kohanim: Prepare children for Birchas Kohanim at the end of Mussaf. Hallel: After the Amida, half Hallel is recited. is recited. If one is unsure if he had this in mind, he should surely drink again, being that through drinking this he hastens Moshiach s arrival, and therefore it must be done properly. Moshiach s Dance: There are two explanations for this: The first, that it is a dance welcoming Moshiach, and the second a dance in which Moshiach partakes; we explain it the way it is worth it for us - the second (From a Sicha of the Rebbe). 5.
