2 PROCEDURES OF ADMISSION AND EXAMINATION Students are enrolled on the course in the first week of June every year. The basic qualification for the undergraduate course is to pass in the preparatory course run by the CIC (or equivalent). A student will not be given more than 1 days of leave in an academic year. Term-end examinations will be held towards the end of each semester and only those who pass in the exams can appear for the next semester. Those who fail in not more than three papers shall be given a supplementary chance in the same semester. In the event of failing in more than three papers, it is required to repeat the semester (only the papers lost) along with the next batch of students. The undergraduate certificate will not be issued until the students produce their Bachelor s Degree certificate from any university approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of the Government of India. In selected papers, 0% of the total marks will be by way of Continuous Evaluation processes including Assignments and Seminars. Criteria for awarding grades at the term-end exams: Excellent : 90% and above Very good : 80% and above Good : 0% and above Satisfied : 0% and above Below average : % to 0%. Failed : below % The medium of all term-end examination will be Arabic. A student who obtains a total mark of % or above in each group will not fail as long as he scores a minimum of % in all subjects. Students are obliged to abide by any additional explanation with regard to these regulations by the syndicate of CIC and its examination board.
