3 THE FIRST SNDAY IN ADVENT Blessed is the King Who Comes in the Name of the Lord November 29, 2015 Get to KNOW The God who KNOWs NEWton I am the Good Shepherd I KNOW my sheep And my sheep KNOW me, just as The Father KNOWs me and I KNOW the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep. (John 10:14-15) WELCOME AND ANNONCEMENTS CONFESSION AND ABSOLTION P In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen. P If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. C But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. P Let us then confess our sins to God our Father. C Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen. P Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I therefore forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 3

It is tempting to invest the majority of our time and financial resources in trying to keep up with the Jones. Take some time this week to prayerfully consider your priorities. Look back over your calendar and your checkbook for the past month. Does what you see there reflect those priorities? Adjust if needed! A free will offering will be taken to help purchase sewing supplies for our mission work, which includes quilts, pillowcase dresses, and shorts and the shipping of those items. GALLON MILK JGS please save your gallon milk jugs so we can replace some of the luminary jugs. Please leave in the kitchen or give to Peggy Gerdts. ASSISTANCE WITH MOVING Karen Doak is moving from 1800 W. 4th St. N., Apt. 48 to Newton Place Apartments on December 12th beginning at 8:30am. Your assistance in this move would be much appreciated.
