8 Announcements BILDING HEALTHY FAMILIES From the newborn infant to the hospice patient in his final hours and for all stages of life in between, physical touch from another person is vitally important. Infants who aren t touched, even though they receive nourishment, will die from Failure to Thrive Syndrome. For adults, physical touch can reduce anxiety and lower blood pressure. How long has it been since you have held another person s hand or given or received a hug? This LWML grant will train new leaders to share the Gospel and speak about abortion in Lutheran high schools nationwide.
