THANK YOU! Our St. Anthony s Bazaar was a great success again this year. Thank you to all St. Anthony s parishioners who donated their time, talents and treasures. The final numbers are still being tallied, but we will share them once they are known. It s beautiful to see our parish family working together on this big day. Our Alpha topic/question is Why and How do I Pray? We ll meet in the Cabrini room (203) at 6:30 PM for some food, a talk, and discussion. Many say miracles that happen through prayer are really just coincidences, but as William Temple said, When I pray, coincidences happen. When I don t, they don t. INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC? Our topics vary from things like proving the existence of God to specific teachings of the Catholic Church that impact our everyday lives. We schedule time at the end of each class for Q&A, too! CALLING ALL PRAYER WARRIORS We are forming a group of parishioners who we can count on to pray for those who reach out to us asking for our prayers. Do you feel called to be a part of this group? No meetings involved. The only requirement is your faithful prayer for those in need. Contact April through the parish office to be a part of this important group. St. Anthony s Religious Education CONFIRMATION PARENT MEETING will be Wednesday, October 10. Please gather in the church at 6:30 PM. This is the first of two mandatory meetings for the parents of all students who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this year. Also, mark your calendars for the next meeting on Wednesday, January 9. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION FEES Have you paid yours? We try to keep the cost of our religious education program low for our families, but do have to charge a small fee to help cover the cost of the teaching materials. 3 Community and Diocesan Events CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAS Court St. Ann will meet Tuesday, October 9, at St Anthony s. The evening will begin with 5:15 PM Mass, and follow with a meeting. Membership is open to all adult Catholic women. Please visit anytime! For our October meeting, we ask you to bring an item for our food drive or personal care donations. Call Lupita Hager at HUMANAE VITAE FIFTY YEARS LATER Bishop John Folda and Father Tad Pacholczyk from the National Catholic Bioethics Center will be jointly presenting Humanae Vitae: 50 Y ears Later, a day-long seminar on October 12, The event will take place at Sts. W2W EVENT (WOMEN 2 WOMAN) Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo will again be hosting a fellowship, fun & food gathering of women in Christ on Thursday, October 11, from 6:00-8:00 PM. This event is for women of all faiths 16 years & older. The event starts at 6:00 PM with Rosary, Adoration & an opportunity for Reconciliation. Meal & speaker start at 6:45 PM. This public square Rosary, sponsored by America Needs Fatima, will be one of over 23,000 rallies taking place across the United States on that day. Please join us in offering reparation for the sins and offenses against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and to fervently pray for the conversion of our country. PALS, a post-abortion panel of women will share their inspiring journeys and how they found healing in Christ. RETROUVAILLE: HELP FOR HURTING MARRIAGES Retrouvaille is an international, peer-run program that has assisted hundreds of thousands of hurting married couples turn the tide, find new hope, and rediscover their love. Surveys have shown that 3 out of 4 couples who complete the entire program are still married five years later with stronger, healthier marriages.
