We ask that all current chairpersons please plan to attend a meeting on Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 PM in the St. Francis Hall/Gathering Space. Any newcomers are also welcome, especially if you are interested in becoming a chairperson or would like to learn more about the committee. They are open to all who are interested in growing in knowledge of the Catholic faith, whether Catholic or not. Classes are Wednesdays and will start at 7:00 PM and run for 90 minutes. GOD S GIFT APPEAL UPDATE Thanks to all our parishioners who have made their gift to the 2018 God s Gift Appeal! As of May 31, St. Anthony s has pledged 84% of our goal of $92,313. If you haven t pledged yet, please pick up a pledge sheet or visit to contribute. THOSE WHO PURCHASED PEWS! If you purchased a pew, please check to see if it is ready to go in St. Francis Hall - pews are tagged with the names of those who purchased them. $100 is the requested price. 3 Religious Education and Youth WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF CATECHISTS As this school year draws to a close, please answer God s call to service! Being a Catechist means sharing the Truth of Christ with young people. You don t need to be an expert, simply love God and share your love with students by preparing for class each Wednesday evening. If you re interested, please fill out a purple form from the bin in St. Francis Hall or online at stanthonyfargo.org/ religious-education. Thank you! VBS: VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED! VBS coordinator, Camie Dickherber (jcdickherber@gmail.com) could still use some help from teen and adult volunteers with VBS from June 18-22, 8:30 AM-noon each day. Station Leaders are already assigned, so the helpers needed would NOT be required to plan the days, only to help the kids have a great and safe time! Community and Diocesan Events BEGINNING EXPERIENCE (BE) is a program of peer ministry, offered by the Catholic Church, for divorced, widowed, and separated persons. It is open to individuals of all faith backgrounds and belief systems. The next BE weekend will begin the evening of Friday, June 22 and run through the afternoon of Sunday, June 24 at the St. Francis Retreat Center in Hankinson, ND. BE s website is: beginningexperience-easternnd.org RURAL LIFE CELEBRATION The Diocese of Fargo will hold its First Annual Rural Life Celebration on Sunday, June 24, The day will be hosted by St. Cecilia Church at the Ron and Janine Schmitz farm, in rural Harvey, ND. Mass celebrated by Bishop Folda will be at 12:30 PM, followed by a meal, speaker, and entertainment at 2:00 PM. LET THE SAINTS COME IN The Fargo Diocese is offering new retreats for all year olds! The retreat for young women will be July and the young men s from July Our saints in the making, the young adults, will be creating and running these retreats! A priest will also be attending each retreat to give a talk, have Mass each day, and be available for reconciliation. The cost is $150/student. Scholarships are available for those in financial need. JOB OPENING: PARISH ADMINISTRATOR/STEWARDSHIP COORDINATOR St. Joseph s Parish, Moorhead, is seeking a full-time parish administrator/stewardship coordinator for the parish office. Duties include managing daily parish operations, personnel and facilities management, and coordinating the stewardship program for the parish.
