The children in our lives are showing such promise; they are bright and caring, with qualities that give us great hope. Gracious God, we ask you to look upon your children and see the good you have created. At the same time, Lord, we pray for the children who are being brought up to distrust and even hate others who do not agree with their philosophy. We pray that one day these children will see what a life of peace can mean. The children around the world who are being exploited need prayers as well. Human trafficking has become such a prevalent issue for us all and we pray loving and nurturing Mother, that you will help us find a way to stop this crime. We pray these things in the blessed name of your only Son, Jesus. Amen.

This Lent, we will take a journey through Old Testament covenants that led up to the Christ, the New (and lasting) Covenant. Each Sunday and Thursday, we ll be reminded of the promises God has made to us throughout history, and we ll be invited to renew our own promises to God. Join us next week as ipromise a Legacy. CROSSOVER: A NEW WORSHIP OPPORTUNITY! Thursdays, February 26-April 2, 6:30PM Our first Crossover worship service is this Thursday! Crossover gets its name as it will cross over musical genres (contemporary, hymns, secular, etc.). The service is designed to be relevant to today through modern language, media, and art and to cross over into daily life, once you exit the doors. Come give it a try. It s rooted in tradition, with a twist.

8 INTOWN FOOD PANTRY NEEDS You brought it all! Meat, coffee, tea, mac & cheese, hot drink mix, plastic bags, and more! Thank you! While meat and coffee continue to be high priorities for people living on the street any and all shelf stable food is desired. Large quantities of items such as cereal, grits, crackers, etc can be repackaged into smaller servings. However, this requires many sandwich size Ziploc bags and the supply of Ziploc bags is running low. To help us restock, please consider adding baggies to your shopping list. Thank you for your continued support! DHPC PW TO HOST ANNUAL PRESBYTERY GATHERING Sunday, March 15, 3-5PM DHPC will host the upcoming Annual Gathering of Greater Atlanta Presbytery PW. We hope all present and former PW women of DHPC will attend. Our PW circles will serve refreshments in the parlor after the meeting. We are expecting PW Women from at least 36 churches in the Atlanta area and we want to put our best foot forward as the host.
