St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 King Street, North Sydney will be hosting their annual Lenten Lunch Program. Lunches will be held at 12 noon and will be approximately one hour. B2A 2S The Food Bank has In Memory of Donation Cards or Special Occasion Cards for people who wish to make a donation to the food bank when someone has died or for anyone celebrating a special occasion such as an anniversary, wedding, birthday etc. All donations help support the food bank and are now available in the office. Sunday Morning Choir practice is every Wednesday after the 6:30 pm mass. The monthly meetings of the 4th Degree Knights of the Fr. William B. MacLeod Assembly are held on the last Sunday of each month at 2pm, Coady House, Sydney River with the exception of July, August and December. Fr. Patrick will be celebrating a Healing Mass on Monday, March 2nd at 7:00 pm, at St. Joseph Church. Faith Formation sessions are every Sunday at 9:30 am. Hope to see you there. The next Pastoral Council Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 18th at 1:30 pm. The next Liturgy Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 8th 1:30 pm. Regular KOC meetings are the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm. The next CWL Meeting will be held on Monday, March 12th at 7:00 pm.

3 Lenten Prayer Corner: O God, Who for the world s redemption was pleased to be born, circumcised, rejected by the Jews, betrayed by the kiss of Judas; bound with chains, led like an innocent lamb to the sacrifice, and shamefully presented before Annas, Caiphas, Pilot and Herod; accused by false witnesses, beaten with whips and buffets, insulted, spit upon, crowned with thorns, smitten with a reed, blindfolded, stripped of your garments, fastened with nails to the cross and lifted up on high; reputed among thieves, made to drink gall and vinegar and wounded by a lance; Oh by these most sacred sufferings which, unworthy as I am, I thus commemorate and by Thy Holy cross and death, deliver me, O Lord, from the pains of hell and deign to lead me where You did lead that thief who was crucified by Your side, You Who, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, live and reign world without end...amen HELP! HELP! HELP! We are still in need of people to sell our even split tickets. Please help out if you can as we are trying very hard to build up our kitty. We now have Memorial Cards for St. Vincent DePaul Society for people who wish to make a donation in memory of someone who has died. All proceeds from these cards help defray the cost of the many needs of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Thank you for your support.
