All Saints Mens Association 500 Club April 30, 2018 ~ October 2018 F o o d P a ntry S u n day Food Pantry Sunday June 16th ~ 17th All Saints parish community continues to serve at the Sr. Maureen Joyce Outreach Center on a monthly basis. A group of 10 volunteers gather from 11am. To 2:30pm preparing, serving and cleaning up. All the necessary ingredients for the meal are provided, we just need to prepare it. Anyone interested in joining us, please keep an eye out for the sign up sheet in the vestibule. 5 M a y 2 7, ~ Coming in June once again our parish community will be sponsoring the PERSONAL CARE CLOSET DRIVE for Catholic Charities. Items will be collected from June 2nd to June 23rd and again a large zip-loc bag with a list of suggested list of men s and women s personal care items will be provided for your convenience. The zip loc bags will be available in the vestibule of church beginning June 2nd. Filled bags can be dropped off in a box anytime. Those items include: shampoo/rinse; toothpaste; toothbrush; soap; deodorant and disposal razors. In addition they need: laundry detergent; dish soap; household cleaning products; paper products; diapers (all sizes); non-alcoholic mouthwash; personal hygiene products. These are items that cannot be purchased with food stamps and are not available through other sources. Thank you for spreading love into our community. Scharfenberger has announced a major event for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany: the Hearts Aflame Eucharistic Congress to be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Shrine of the North American Martyrs in Auriesville. 136 Shrine Rd, Amsterdam, NY In our Catholic tradition, a Eucharistic Congress is a special gathering led by the bishop focused on our Lord Jesus in the Eucharist. It is a time of joy, fellowship, prayer, and unity. This will be a time of spiritual renewal for our whole diocese. All Catholics in the diocese are invited to attend. Hearts Aflame is a free event open to all; there is no cost to attend. Lunch will be available for purchase or bring your own. FROM BISHOP ED: On September 22, I ask that the Shrine become a pilgrimage site for Catholics from every corner of our diocese This will be a spiritual event, hallowed in part by the very ground on which it is held. My hope is that the Holy Spirit will make this a powerful time of spiritual renewal for our entire diocese. Hearts Aflame is being held at the spiritual center of our diocese, the Shrine of the North American Martyrs in Auriesville. The Shrine is a beautiful 600-acre property situated on the banks of the Mohawk River. It commemorates the martyrdom of three Jesuit missionaries, as well as St. Kateri and other heroes of the faith who impacted this part of the country. In addition to the stupendous 1930s-era coliseum, where the main Mass will be celebrated, there are numerous chapels and prayer-paths that visitors have enjoyed for decades.
