2 OUR PRIEST ADMINISTRATOR Fr. Dwight s Message Sunday is the Lord s DAY; not the Lord s HOUR! My Dear People, And the Parish Feast Day and Fiesta is over! We gathered around and committed ourselves to various ministries needed within our worshipping communities of St Mary and St Anne... And we were commissioned to now freely serve the Church here in Marysville. We moved from an insignificant place, re-dedicated and generously blessed our beautiful monument to the unborn by our Chapter of the Knights of Columbus to now in its very rightful place - the east side of the Church where people can come and sit and have prayerful meditation. We also gave the tabernacle, previously on the back wall of the Church, its rightful place of reverence and presence again in the front of the Church - for we solemnly consecrated the new free-standing Blessed Sacrament wall on the left side of the altar with a built-in ambry for the Sacred Oils. This most beautiful structure was designed and built from scratch and out of love and faith in God by a master craftsman, one of our own members and Sacristans, Luis Robles. We thank him from our hearts for a real labor of faith and love! And we ate and drank sumptuously of the many delicious cultural foods at our parish fiesta as we enjoyed children, games of all kinds, great entertainment from various groups who wowed us delightfully with their talented performances. All these were with an intended purpose - for we got to know each other better forming a more intentional multi-cultural, Catholic Community here at St Mary and St Anne. Our parish is a vibrant place with so much to offer to our wider society. We come from almost every continent on earth but under the amazing banner of Jesus Christ, we are one in faith and love! It was so great to see everyone so generous and having fun and getting to know each other as the whole community. Strangers became friends and love and respect flowed. We had church! Isn't THAT THE TRUTH! Faith, and fun, and food, and fellowship - these are the words of who we are and what we did last week. It inspires us to make of our parish every thing we know it can be! Because Christ calls us to be always better today than we were yesterday, We firmly accept the challenge and stand together for what we believe, we work for what can be done, we love each other in all that we do, till all God's people are ONE! They recently cleaned the outside of the Parish, moved the monument of the Memorial of the Unborn Child to the west side of the church, and are busy working steadily on other projects. Thank You.
