5 Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God *Holy day of obligation* Masses will be celebrated in the Main Church on: Monday, December 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm & Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at There will be no Children s Liturgy of the Word on December 30th. We are grateful for our volunteers and ask that you will keep them in your prayers. We will return once again starting January 6th. We wish you all a Happy and Blessed Christmas season. Our registration process can be completed during parish office business hours (Mon Fri 9am 2pm) over the phone, by (info@stpeterdamian.org) using an electronic parish registration form, or by mail. Please contact the parish office with any questions at (630) or to check if you are registered. If you would like to be contacted please complete the information below and submit it to the parish office. So Many Benefits To Using Your Envelopes There are many benefits to using your envelopes once registered with the parish. Using your envelopes makes it easier for us to keep track of your donations so we can give you a statement at the end of each year. If you put a check in the collection basket and you are registered, we will record that contribution. However, this creates extra work for the volunteers who count the Sunday collection because they have to make a copy of your check, and for the office staff because they have to search for your name or envelope number in order to record your contribution. We unfortunately cannot track donations of loose cash, so any donation done this way will not count towards a tax letter. If you would like to receive envelopes and you aren t currently receiving them, please contact the parish office. PAPER RETRIEVER RECYCLING FUNDRAISING The average household trash contains about 40% recyclable paper. When you place it in our green and yellow Paper Retriever bin instead of the trash, not only do you keep it out of the landfill, you are helping us raise money for our programs. The Paper Retriever program is designed to collect only the kinds of paper that can be recycled into newsprint. Collect only these items: Newspaper Office Paper Magazines Phone Books Catalogs School Paper Direct Mail Shredded Paper in clear plas c bags These are items that should NOT be collected: Cardboard Plas cs Cereal Boxes Metals Garbage Kitchen/Bathroom paper products The Paper Retriever Recycling Bin is located in the North East corner of our parking lot by the Chapel. Just one bag of old newspapers, magazines and catalogs each month will help the environment and help us raise funds for our parish. Thank you for helping us Go Green!
