Our heartfelt thanks to all who donated their time and talent to make the Lenten Fish Dinners go so smoothly. So many jobs - cole slaw/ tartar sauce makers, container fillers, silverware wrappers, bakers, fish preps, cooks in the kitchen, ticket sellers, servers in the kitchen and dining room, and clean up crews. So many in our community have commented on how they enjoy and look forward to joining us at the dinners. Without all of you, the Fish dinners could not take place. Teachers are required to be PA certified in secondary instruction (7-12). Experience in teaching secondary students is preferred. The Mathematics teacher should possess the ability to teach college prep, honors, and AP level courses. The Spanish teacher should be qualified to teach listening, speaking, writing and reading in Spanish. Many people are affected by abuse but the individual most impacted is the victim who has suffered a violation of trust. The abuser, the family of the abused, and the parish community are all affected by this crime, but the primary person of concern must be the victim. Did you know: No one has the right to have access to children? If people wish to volunteer for the Church, in a parish or school for example, they must follow diocesan guidelines on the background checks, safe environment training, policies and procedures, and codes of conduct. No one, no matter who they are, has an automatic right to be around children or young people who are in the care of the Church without proper screening and without following the rules.
