Surely from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is His name. -Luke 1:46b-49 O LORD, You will hear the desire of the meek; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear. -Psalm 10:17 But the meek shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in abundant prosperity. -Psalm 37:11 The LORD lifts up the downtrodden; He casts the wicked to the ground. -Psalm 147:6 It is better to be a lowly spirit among the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud. -Proverbs 16:19 Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do His commands; seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the Lord s wrath. -Zephaniah 2:3 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; He has sent me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free -Luke 4:18 2

The time of God s favor has come. Pray for the gift of joy from God. Shine in our lives. Lord Jesus Christ. Let us pray: Living God, You have come among us to lead us to paths of righteousness. Guide our feet through the wilderness toward the living water of Your grace, following in the steps of our Savior: Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Family Member: Why do we light three candles? Family Member: We light three candles as a sign of the coming light of Christ. Advent means coming. We are preparing ourselves for the days of hope, peace and joy as recorded in the Gospel of John 15:10-11: If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father s commandments and abide in His love. I have said these things to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. Let us walk in the light of the Lord! 3 * Please stand
