Get together to talk. Ladies, put your two cents worth in to make a layout that really makes sense. Not the humble, jumble that's in your backyards. Some of you know what I mean. "Ma'am" the employee replied, "three hours ago it was grass." ******************************************** A rich man's heirs were upset by the claims of a supposed relative. They asked the family lawyer for an update. "He still insists he's related to you, and he says he can prove it," the lawyer said. "The man's a fool," one relative stated. "Well," the lawyer said, "that may be just a coincidence." We have a full calendar right now except for December, the Holiday party... To check on cancellations, contact John Whitaker at Jean Waterman and Her Burn Jean lost a lot in the Thomas fire. Her house (is safe), the trim and woodwork was singed. Her gas and electricity have been turned off. The train shed was destroyed (all trains lost) and her layout was completely ruined. Everything including the wooden trestle. That poor thing didn't stand a chance. She is contacting her insurance company once she gets costs, and when she decides to rebuild the layout we might be called upon to lend a hand. It seems like old times, doesn't it? An old fashioned barn raising in the making. These pictures were taken by John Georges & Marie's Holiday Party Even though there were several wild fires burning throughout Southern California, Georges & Marie's Holiday party turnout was fantastic. There were 37 people in attendance including Georges & Marie. Sal & Deborah Mele even showed up from Santa Barbara, fighting the smoke part of the way south. The food was as expected, wonderful, with turkey, ham, two kinds of stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, salads, rolls, pies, candy, cookies, and enough wine to float a small Navy (and their boats). Trains started on time at 10 am, and we ate at 12:30 pm. The White Elephant gifts were haggled over starting at 2:30 pm with a lot more train related items on hand. One gift brought by...ahem...will be coming back next year. After the White Elephant gifts were distributed some of the guys went back to running trains and some packed 'em in.

So I called the phone number and said that I haven't. I like to help where I can.
