He passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born July 20, 1954, in Cookeville, TN, to James Adams and Glenna Brown Adams. He was married to Laura Heady Adams, who survives. He was an emergency room RN, and was affiliated with the Dudney's Hill Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his Wife: Laura Heady Adams of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Michael Adams and wife, Shan, of New York, and Chris Adams of Nashville, TN; 1 Daughter: Stephanie (Jason) Aguilar of Knoxville, TN; 4 Step-Children: Derek Miller, Deidre Miller, Danielle Wangler, and Kiara Meadows; his Parents: James and Glenna Brown Adams of Ridgetop, TN; 1 Brother: Scott (Kim) Adams of Greenbrier, TN; 1 Sister: Kim (Ronnie) Holt of Hendersonville, TN; Special Niece: Haley Sims; and 1 Step Grandchild: Joleigh Miller. GAINESBORO Funeral services for James "David Anderson, 70, of Gainesboro, were held at 2 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 12, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Interment was in Pharris Cemetery, with full military honors. Mr. Anderson passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, in Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Fred and Viola Bowman Anderson. Mr. Anderson was an airplane mechanic. He served in the Navy and attended Zion Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bedford and Lola Anderson, and his maternal grandparents, Dillard and Dovie Bowman. Survivors include his Wife: Spring Rector Anderson of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Jeff (Jerri Ann) Anderson of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Tracy Dawn Anderson and partner, Holly Ann Buechler, of Yakima, WA, Roxanne (Tom) Geesling of Hilham, TN, and Elaine (Stephen) South of Cookeville, TN; 11 Grandchildren; and 1 Sister: Pat (Frazier) Medlin of Cookeville, TN. He passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1954, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Mack Biggs and Joann Draper Biggs. He was married to Rita Newberry Biggs, who survives. He was a carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Michael, Robert, Darrell, and Dennis Biggs. GAINESBORO Graveside services for Lois Bostic, 76, of Baxter, formerly of Gainesboro, were held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 28, at Pharris Cemetery. Mrs. Bostic passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1937, in Gainesboro to the late Logan Raines and Avo Netherton Raines. Mrs. Bostic was a homemaker. She was known by all for her kind and gentle spirit to her children and for her caring, loving and nurturing nature. They are all comforted in knowing she will have a home in heaven, where she will be able to hear the song of birds at last. She was a member of Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. Her family includes a son, James G. Bostic Jr. of Cookeville; three daughters, Patricia Wylie of Cookeville, Lisa (Robert) Lynch of Baxter and Teresa Bostic of Cookeville; a granddaughter, Brandy Bostic of Gainesboro; and two great-grandsons, Matthew and Mason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Mr. Chaffin died on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 5, 1921, in Jackson County to the late Patrick and Mary Belle Young Chaffin. He was a retired chief of police in Gainesboro. Mr. Chaffin was affiliated with McCoinsville Church of Christ. He served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Chaffin was also a former sheriff of Jackson County. His family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Dale Richardson of Gainesboro; a brother, Nelson Chaffin of Gainesboro; a sister, Mildred Pippin of the Shiloh Community of Jackson County; five grandchildren, Gary and David Richardson, Wanda and Lisa Dodson and Christy Young, all of Gainesboro; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zula Mayberry Chaffin; three brothers, Harold, Willie B. and Zeb Chaffin; three sisters, Lizzie Mae Pippin, Sally Locke and Zella Pippin; and a special niece, Doris Chaffin. Mr. Chaffin passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, in Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. He was born Oct. 13, 1923, in Jackson County to the late Patrick Chaffin and Mary Bell Young Chaffin. Mr. Chaffin was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ. He was a factory worker and a farmer. His family includes a special niece, Betty and her husband, Junior Sherrill of Cookeville, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Harold, Lon, Willie B., Zeb and Earnest Chaffin; five sisters, Sally Locke, Lizzie Mae Pippin, Zella Pippin, Cora Nell Chaffin and Lola Mildred Pippin; and a special niece, Doris Chaffin. On June 16, 1955, Mr. Stafford married the former Mable Irene Stafford, who survives.
