When they saw the guests arriving, they stopped to look. ne of them said, et s pretend we are talking, and let s watch and see who was invited this time to eat with Jesus. s they saw people coming, one said: can t believe it! ook who s coming! 2. t s the store keeper, said the other. veryone knows he charges too much; he s not fair! ook right behind him, said the other one, there s the biggest liar in town! on t tell me he s invited to the same dinner with Jesus! veryone knows how stingy that man is with his money. He doesn t trust anyone; he carries his money with him all the time! (emove these three men.) any more people came to watch. he news spread fast amongst them: Jesus is eating with people who are bad and don t care about anyone but themselves! Jesus is eating with sinners id Jesus care about these people? Ye, he did. o you think he cared about those who were outside watching too? He did, and He wished that they would understand how He felt about people who were called sinners. ater, when Jesus had a chance, He helped them to understand by telling them a story (emove house): 3. ne there was a good shepherd who had a hundred sheep and knew each one by name. f course he noticed when one of his lambs was missing. He left the ninety-nine in a grassy field (emove shepherd) and went right away to look for the one that was lost. 4. He searched among the rocks and bushes until he found the lamb. t was caught in a thorn bush. o you think he was angry? o, he was very happy and looked at his lamb so gently. He bent down (hepherd by thorn bush) and carefully freed it from the sharp thorns that were tearing its skin. he poor lamb was crying; it was so helpless. he shepherd put the lamb on its feet (emove the lamb from thorn bush), but is was shaking so badly that it couldn t even take a step. he shepherd picked his lamb up gently (emove) and put it on his shoulders. When he arrived home (hepherd with sheep), the shepherd called his friends and neighbors and said, et s celebrate! have found my sheep that was lost!
