1 A Place of Belonging... Zion Lutheran Church had planned. Spring is upon us, except Mother Nature doesn t seem to remember By Spring, of course I mean Lent. Lent means Spring and is the season of the church leading us to Easter. March, 2019 This Lent we will be using the Nebraska Synod resources aptly named We Are Church Together. We have been using the We Are Church series the past couples years and will finish them out this year. The only change is that there will be no pastor rotation, as we What makes us Church together? As we work our way through Wednesday evenings we will discover answers to that question which will include such things as worship, word, sacrament, and so on. We will talk about our need for each other and the importance of tending to the Body of Christ. We will hopefully come to the conclusion that we need each and every person God created in order for God s kingdom to be whole. Wednesday evening worship is at 7:00 PM beginning with Ash Wednesday on March 6th. I want to thank Marty and Leon for their efforts in clearing snow this winter. It doesn t seem as though the fight will be over any time soon! Leon has come and cleared the parking lot for many years. Marty came and had to hand-scoop the blizzard, since the snow blower wouldn t start. There was a lot of snow and it was a lot of work. They both deserve our thanks.
