4 July 25', 1957' ~ ~ CLOVER LEAVES.nmPageHB LET'S TALK T OVER By Frank Wood, Adviser When Mrs. Corinne English, Ext. Specialist in Family Relations, began her class by handing out tickets, club members did not suspect they meant alternate seatv ing of boys and girls. This arrangement allowed club members to widen their acquaintances. Money" to the girls. A booklet "Your Parents and You was given to everyone HE S GLAD T RANED From the moment the class on "Let's Talk t Over" assembled in Withers auditorium, Mrs. English won the affection of the entire group by her wit and charm. She informed the boys and girls that ' they were experiencing an " in between age." This is an age in which girls want new and attractive clothes because they want boys to look at them and the boys want Jalopies so they can take their girl friends ridir-. The groups selected certain problems i which are most important to them. The t most important problem selected was "Get-J ting Along With Peopl.." The No. 2 problem was "What to do With My Life." Problem No. 3 was "Who Slvtould Guide Young People in the Skills for Living the Home, the Church or the School?" Jimmy Childress, Surry County representative in the State Public Speaking project, might not have been able to attend Club Week if a two-acre tobacco project had not had the benefit of a good rain this past week. Prior to the rain, it seemed that the tobacco crop would be ready for harvest at about the same time the annual h-h Club Week started.
