1 TRINITY TIDINGS Volume 54, Issue 1, January 2017 Reflections from the Interim Rector... Dear People of Trinity Church, After a wonderful celebration of Christmas Eve and Day, and as we move through the Christmas season, let me share a poem from Howard Thurman. Thurman, an educator and civil rights leader, was also Dean of Chapel at Howard University and Boston University for more than two decades. The Work of Christmas When the song of the angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone, when the kings and princes are home, when the shepherds are back with their flocks, the work of Christmas begins: to find the lost, to heal the broken, to feed the hungry, to release the prisoner, to rebuild the nations, to bring peace among the people, to make music in the heart. Faithfully, Fr. Bill+ The Mood of Christmas & Other Celebrations (1985) Trinity Tidings Volume 54, Issues 1, January 2017 Page 1
