Jhn Bswell It has, indeed, been a VERY LONG winter but the cld and blustery days have prvided me with ample time in frnt f the fireplace, tea cup in hand, t reflect n the happenings in my life and peaceful jy in recalling the very pwerful Kinnia weekend at Mst Hly Rsary parish in Medfrd. Isn t it a blessing when smene drps int ur life unplanned and in a few shrt days makes an impact? Clr me blessed. Again! Thirty-seven answered Christ s call t attend #42 and are nw part f ur ever grwing Cmmunity.. Cming tgether with faith filled, smiling, willing-t-serve Kinnia Sisters and Brthers and welcming s many new members int ur Cmmunity simply feels gd! 1 Peter 4:10 As each ne has received a gift, use it t serve ne anther as gd stewards f Gd s varied grace. It is apparent that this admnitin frm Peter is heard and lived by each f yu. S many gifts shared with selfless and jyful hearts, faithfully administering Gd s grace in its varius frms. I am in awe and full f gratitude fr the manner in which we build each ther up emtinally, spiritually and physically. We receive strength, encuragement and lve as we talk, cry, pray, listen, smile and laugh. There is a beauty in the shared trust, acceptance and cmmitment t Kinnia. Sme may have ran int a Thrn & Rses but n ne became a Spinner Sinner while we wrked as Jyfuls with Helping Hands fr Thy Will Be Dne as prclaimed by the Lahm Ma Gd. Thank yu t all the Table Leaders Adele, Bluette, Jy, Janene, Mary, Mike, & Rni fr yur gentle guidance, laughter and tears fr thse seated at yur table. It seemed that the stp and g lites did nt wrk prperly as the red lite never came n. We purred thrugh Friday night trying t figure ut hw t best serve ur 36 new candidates. We really picked up speed as the Wheaties s prficiently prepared and served the Agape meal. Three hnks fr ur Cadillac ck, Melanie Olsn. All the while we were speeding t ur green lite; ur Savir and Lrd, Jesus Christ. It was easy t see Jesus in each and everyne. What jy t spend a weekend with such Spirit filled peple. We pray fr Gd s peace fr all. With much lve.. Rn & Tts Runnheim #42 Wheat Team C-Lay Directrs KOINONIA #42 COMMUNITY ROOM SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS As Assistant Spiritual Directr fr #42 held in Medfrd, I culd nt help but feel the presence f the Hly Spirit wrking n everyne present. We as a cmmunity revisited 4 f the 7 sacraments. We were within inches f Jesus Christ and culd say anything we wanted t Him. We fund ut mre abut urselves and each ther. We shared each thers pain and happiness. I still have a smile n my face when smene frm the cmmunity stated, I didn t knw that Mike culd play the trumpet. Nw that s what cmmunity is abut. Learning mre abut each ther, seeking Christ in ne anther and ging frth t spread the gd news. It was an hnr and privilege t wrk with Fr. Gerard and sharing in the Paschal Mystery with Kinnia #42. The wheat team was utstanding as was the super delicius, healthy meals. Melanie cked s that anyne with meal cncerns always had plenty t eat whether it be fr diabecs r thse with allergies r intlerances. All weekend we never heard any cmplaints everyne gt alng very well and helped wherever help was needed. Everything went s smthly and effrtlessly that it made us wnder if it were a dream. Gd and the Hly Spirit was truly wrking verme fr us. A special thing this weekend was having a priest in the Wheat rm. The wheaes were given the pprtunity t g t recncilian early Friday s that there was n hld up r delay in ge ng the Cmmunity rm dne is a respectable me. This helped us get ut at a decent hur n Friday and therefre nt nearly as ring as sme f the past Kinnias where recncilian went past 10 and later. Thank yu Medfrd fr hsng with these wnderful facilies. 6 Many Kinnians are wndering. hw lng d I have serve as Wheat befre serving in the cmmunity rm fr a retreat? That is an excellent questin! It is nt as cmplicated as it might seem. The requirement fr serving in the Cmmunity Rm fr a Kinnia Retreat is Must have wrked Wheat at least nce Send in a Team Applicatin putting dwn the desired psitin yu wuld like t serve in. Be willing t present a mediatin. The Cmmunity Rm psitins available t serve in are: Table Leaders, Assistant Spiritual Directr, Lay Directr, C Lay Directr, musicians and Gpher. Each f the psitins in the Cmmunity Rm require that the persn present a meditatin. If yu lk at yur Kinnia bklets frm being a candidate yu will see what the meditatin tpics are. D nt be nervus r afraid t serve in these psitins!! Why? Because each psitin cmes with a detailed manual explaining the duties and guidelines f the psitin. There is als a guideline bklet fr each f the meditatins. During the planning meeting there is table leader training and yur meditatin is presented in frnt f the Cmmunity Rm team. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE yu t experience serving in the cmmunity rm. Please submit yur Team Applicatin as sn as pssible fr K #43 in Ashland cming in September. Psitins are assigned n a First Cme First Serve basis. The sner yur applicatin is received the better chance yu have t get the psitin yu want! Cntinued tp f page... When filling ut the team applicatin, many peple d nt put what psitins they are interested in. 80% f the applicants fill ut state Where ever needed this makes it very difficult t knw where yu desire t serve. Please be Specific in what yur 1st, 2nd and 3rd chices are. If yur gifts and strengths are with cmputers and typing, put dwn that yu wuld like t be in charge f the Rster n Wheat. If yu sing like an angel and lve music, put dwn yu want t be musician!
