1 Presbyterian Crier B u s i n e s s N a m e One Great Hour of Sharing During Lent, our mission focus was on One Great Hour of Sharing. Presbyterians around the globe join together to support three programs that are part of OGHS: Presbyterian Hunger Program (feeding people), Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (natural and man-made disaster relief), and Self-Development of People (empowering the poor and oppressed). We heard more about the programs through Minute for Mission presentations from our Mission Team. Many thanks to our congregation for generously donating $ to these three programs. The coins from the heavy bank fish totaled $ all by themselves. Thanks to Jennifer Stauss, our special offering was counted, and a check was sent to Presbyterian Church (USA) for One Great Hour of Sharing. Thank you, First Presbyterian Church, for supporting OGHS! Mission Team 2018 May 2018 Graduates and Active Military Members: The Deacons are looking for anyone that graduated either in Winter of 2017 or Spring of They are also looking for addresses of men and women and that are currently serving in the military. Please contact a member of the Deacons with this information! /Graduation Sunday: Join us for a Special worship service on Sunday, May 20 to honor our 14 Confirmands and recent Graduates! Following worship there will be a fellowship sponsored cookout. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass!

2 May 2018 Stated Session Meeting Minutes 1 st Presbyterian Church Clinton March 19, 2018 Page 2 The stated Session Meeting of the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, was called to order by the moderator, Ruling Elder JP Kastner at 7:20pm, March 19, 2018 in the Community Room. It was noted there was a quorum present. Present were: Kelli Bell, Jodi Burton, Angel Davis, Debbie DuCharme, Jeff Johnson, Craig Stauss, Melanie Stevens, Al Wiedmer. The meeting was opened with Devotions and Prayer by Craig Stauss. The Agenda was approved, by common consent, with addition to: New Business a) Discussion with Gene Gibbs from First Presbyterian Janesville: Sharing a Pastor, b) Media Publishing Non -Consent Form. The minutes of the February 18, 2018 Stated Meeting of Session were reviewed by Session members and approved by common consent with corrections: In Committee Reports Action Items: a) Change Worship Committee to Mission, b) Change Worship Committee to Mission/Worship; Change next meeting to March Send minutes to Jennifer & Amy for posting and publishing. Treasurer s Notes: We sent the budgeted amount of $1200 to Martha Sommers and $251 (of our $5168 required) to Presbytery for the Per Capita collected. The Per Capita calculation is enclosed. Total Income Feb 2018: $ 4, Total Expenses Feb 2018: $ 5, Monthly Surplus or Deficit: -1, Year-to-date Income 2018: $ 10, Year-to-date Expenses 2018: $ 12, Surplus or Deficit Year-to-Date: $ -1, An updated Financial Graph will be posted around the church and on the bulletin board with numbers from above, also submitted to the monthly crier & church service slide show. Received the Treasurers Report for audit. All in favor. Motion carried. Committee Reports were reviewed: Christian Ed: date set for May 20 th, 2018 Action Items: Finance & Stewardship: 1 st Motion (2 parts) - Part 1: Move balance of Acct #440 Capital Imp Projects Manse $210, (minus $5000 Mission check) to New Covenant Fund: Kruger Estate Principal. Part 2: Move $4, of Acct #441 Capital Improvements - Church (which is the difference of Acct #441 Capital Improvements Church $22,850 minus Acct #489 $15, equals $6, minus $2, (balance that stays in Acct# 441) equals $4,108.50) to New Covenant Fund: Kruger Estate Principal All in favor. Motion carried.

Mission & Evangelism: A Motion from Mission: Send a $5,000 mission check on behalf of our congregation, from Acct #440 Capital Imp Projects Manse, to Cornerstone of Hope (Janesville) All in favor. Motion carried. Personnel: A Motion from Deb DuCharme, seconded by Melanie Stevens, to purchase and give Pastor Bob a $1000 gift card in lieu of salary he is not taking. All in favor. Motion carried. Unfinished Business: Manse Insurance Fund: Discussion about building a pavilion for possible outdoor summer services & fellowship activities, for example. Further discussion & congregation involvement will be needed. Flock Note Txt & Service Church mass texting service: All were in favor of establishing a churchwide account and continuing this service. New Business: Meeting requested by Gene Gibbs, from First Presbyterian Janesville, to discuss the idea of Sharing a Pastor. Session selected delegates to represent First Pres of Clinton to start this discussion: Craig, Melanie & Debbie. JP will set this up with Andy Holmes, Co-Moderator of COM & First Pres Janesville Liaison. Media Publishing Non-Consent Form: Motion to approve Media Publishing Non-Consent form as amended and send to Jennifer & Amy for posting and publishing Seconded All in favor. Motion carried.
