2 A Note About Our Prayerbooks Welcome to the South Street Temple. Our prayerbooks, Mishkan T Filah, are in the lobby or on the bookshelf at the front of the sanctuary. We invite you to take one so that you may join in our worship. As these are sacred books, we ask that you handle them with care by keeping them off the floor and returning them to their proper place at the conclusion of the service. Each prayer in Mishkan T Filah is laid out in a two-page spread, the Hebrew text, transliteration, and English translation on the right, and on the left are two alternate English readings reflecting on the theme of the prayer. 4 Gardens & Grounds News Our next garden work day will be May 20th from 9:00-10:30 am. We will be planting, weeding and spreading mulch. Please let Ellin Siegel know if you will be able to help, and if you have newspaper you can bring. We will use it to block weeds. The Jewish Federation of Lincoln is participating in Give to Lincoln Day, Thursday, May 31. The Federation supports the Lincoln Jewish Community School, Camp Israel, and scholarships to help our youth pay for Jewish summer camps, youth group activities, or Israel programs, The Federation also partners with the Jewish Federations of North America to support Jews in need worldwide. To give online, go to any time between now and May 31. To give by check, make check payable to Lincoln Community Foundation and write "Jewish Federation of Lincoln" in the memo line. Make sure to get the check to the Federation early so that it can be delivered by hand on May 31

Clinic with a Heart collects no insurance money or government funds; it relies on funding from sponsoring organizations. Our annual commitment is $1,800, or $150 per month, which is not funded in our congregational budget. Happily, with individual donations, we have met this obligation every year. The funds we contribute help to pay for clinic supplies and prescription medications for the patients. Once again, we ask for your support. Your contribution to Clinic with a Heart can be made with a check to the Temple, designated for the clinic.
