T [h] urah {Turah /Torah} Portions, Haftarah & the Good News וארא Ua ara {And I appeared} T [h] urah {Turah /Torah} Haftarah Good-News Shamut [h] {Exodus} 6:2-9:35 Yakazqa al {Ezekiel} 28:25-29:21 Mattithyahu {Matthew} 12:1-14 Shamut [h] {Exodus} 6:1; And Yahuah said to Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Now see what I will do to Pharaoh, for through a strong hand he will send them out and with a strong hand he is going to drive them out of his land. But, this is not all that Yahuah spoke to Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} in answer to his question and challenge. We read in Shamut [h] Shemot/Exodus} 6:2; And Alahiym spoke to Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and said to him, I am Yahuah. Verse 3 reads in the Hebrew; y ImVv w yó ;dav l EaV;b bëoqsoåy_l`ra w q DjVxŷ_lRa M Dh rvbaa_lra a# reaîw Ex. 6:3 :M`RhDl yi;tvoäådwøn añøl hyîwh y Ua ara Alahiy Abraham Alahiy Yatskaq {Isaac} ua Alahiy Ya aqob {Ya aqob/jacob} ba Al Shaddaiy ua shemee Yahuah la ah nu adahethiy la hem. There seems to be two basic translations for this verse. Some English speaking Christian or Messianic sources render this verse similar to the ISR Scriptures as; And I appeared to Abraham, to Yatskaq {Isaac}, and to Ya aqub {Ya aqob/jacob}, as Al Shaddaiy. And by My Name, Yahuah, was I not known to them? We see the title of our T [h] urah Turah/Torah} portion, Ua ara (uau-aleph-reish-aleph) in the first part of the verse. Ua ara means and I appeared. The second half of this verse speak Yahuah to be a question indicating that Yahuah indeed made Himself known to the (nun- uau-dalet-ayin-thauyad), which is the Hebrew word for unknown or not known. Once again, we should patriarchs as Yahuah. However, the key word here is nu adahethiy leave the understanding of Hebrew to the Hebrew. In other words, by using nu adahethiy, which is a negative form of the root yadah {to know}, T [h] urah {Turah/Torah} is telling us, as the Hebrew Scriptures say; And I appeared {revealed Myself} to Abraham, to Yatskaq {Isaac}, and to Ya aqub {Ya aqob/jacob}, as Al Shaddaiy. And by My Name Yahuah I was not known to them? This is not to say that the Name Yahuah does not appear in T [h] urah {Turah/Torah} prior to this time. Gen. 28:13 And, behold, Yahuah stood above it, and said, I am Yahuah Alahiy of Abraham your father, and the Alahiy of Yatskaq {Isaac} : the land whereon you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed; Gen. 28:14 And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Gen. 28:16 And Ya aqub {Ya aqob/jacob} awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely Yahuah is in this place; and I knew it not. And to your seed after you I give this land.
So, Yahuah revealed Himself to the fathers as Yahuah and Al Shaddaiy and made His covenant with them, to give the Land of Kena an (Erets Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}), as verse 4 of Shamut [h] {Shemot/Exodus} 6 states; NAo DnV;k X r Ra_tRa M RhDl t EtDl M$D;tIa yityîrv;b_tra yitôomiqsh M Åg w Ex. 6:4 :;h`db wr D g_rrvsa M Rhyér gvm X r Ra t Ea And I also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Kena an, the land of their sojourning, in which they have sojourned. What Yahuah have shown our patriarchs was His ability to sustain and keep them from harm. He provided for them. For the most part He used nature to provide for them, and hid himself [His powers, If you will], in nature not really showing Himself the way He did with Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and with Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}. Before the time of Shamut [h] {Shemot/Exodus} His name was not known through the earth. Let us go back real quick to last weeks T [h] urah {Turah/Torah} portion. And see why this is important. 4 Ex. 4:21 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, When you go to return into Mitsraiym {Egypt}, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go tepwøm mowpheth, mo-faith ; or tepom mopheth, mo-faith ; from 3302 in the sense of conspicuousness; a miracle; by implication, a token or omen: miracle, sign, wonder(-ed at). o hdpîy yaphah, yaw-faw ; a primitive root; properly, to be bright, i.e. (by implication) beautiful: be beautiful, be (make self) fair(-r), deck. What Yahuah was saying is, I did not show my beauty or esteem to the patriarchs. But it will be seen, so to make my name known in all the earth. Ex. 5:1 And afterward Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus says Yahuah Alahiym of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. Ex. 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is Yahuah, that I should obey his voice to let Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} go? I know not Yahuah, neither will I let Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} go. Ex. 5:3 And they said, The Alahiym of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto Yahuah our Alahiym; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword. One point I would like to bring out, the hardening of Pharaoh s heart. Ex. 7:9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Show a miracle for you: then you shall say unto Aaharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, Take your rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent. Ex. 7:10 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as Yahuah had commanded: and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Ex. 7:11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. Ex. 7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaharun s {Aharon s/aaron s} rod swallowed up their rods. Ex. 7:13 And he hardened Pharaoh s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as Yahuah had said. :h`dwh y r R;bî;d r RvSaA;k M RhElSa o AmDv añøl w h$oo raúp b El qåztj yåw Ex. 7:13 Ex. 7:14 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Pharaoh s heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go. :M`DoDh j A;lAvVl N EaEm hóoo raúp b El d EbD;k h$rvom_lra hîwh y rrmaôø yåw Ex. 7:14 In the English translation the word harden seems to mean the same. However in the Hebrew these are two different Hebrew words. Verse 13 it means to strengthen, continue, help, encourage Pharaoh s heart Verse 14 it means to have a heavy, grievous, or sore heart, stubborn.
Pharaoh s magicians were able to replicate what Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} staff. So it caused his heart to have strength or courage. The next verse than made his heart stubborn. Ex. 7:20 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} did so, as Yahuah commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. Ex. 7:21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 7:22 And the magicians of Mistraiym {Egypt} did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh s heart was hardened { ז ק ל ב פּ ר ע ה {יּ ח, neither did he hearken unto them; as Yahuah had said. Ex. 7:23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also. Ex. 7:24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river. Ex. 7:25 And seven days were fulfilled, after that Yahuah had smitten the river. Next plague: Ex. 8:1 And Yahuah spoke unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus says Yahuah, Let my people go, that they may serve me. Ex. 8:2 And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your borders with frogs: Ex. 8:3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and upon your bed, and into the house of your servants, and upon your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading-troughs: Ex. 8:4 And the frogs shall come up both on you, and upon your people, and upon all your servants. Ex. 8:5 And Yahuah spoke unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Say unto Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, Stretch forth your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 8:6 And Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} stretched out his hand over the waters of Mitsraiym {Egypt} ; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 8:7 And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 8:8 Then Pharaoh called for Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, and said, Entreat Yahuah, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto Yahuah. Notice that in these first three plagues, the magicians were able to duplicate the same plagues. So why is Pharaoh asking Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} to ask Yahuah to take away the frogs and He will let His people go? Ex. 8:9 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} said unto Pharaoh, Explain to {Glory over} me: when shall I entreat for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you
and your houses, that they may remain in the river only? Ex. 8:10 And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to your word: that you may know that there is none like unto Yahuah our Alahiym. Ex. 8:11 And the frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people; they shall remain in the river only. What Pharaoh wanted to see is how accurate or precise Yahuah really is. He is starting to see something from this point forward. He wanted to test Yahuah to see if a predicted time could be done. He knew they could not do this with their mighty one(s). The reason why I am saying mighty one(s) is because they are still believing at this point that since the magicians were able to duplicate the plagues, that means their mighty one(s) are real. Ex. 8:12 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} cried unto Yahuah because of the frogs, which he had brought against Pharaoh. Ex. 8:13 And Yahuah did according to the word of Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} ; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields. Ex. 8:14 And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank. Ex. 8:15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite {relief} {made his heart, he hardened Stubborn} his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as Yahuah had said. Ex. 8:16 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Say unto Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, Stretch out your rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 8:17 And they did so; for Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 8:18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast. Ex. 8:19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of Alahiym: and Pharaoh s heart was hardened {strengthened}, and he hearkened not unto them; as Yahuah had said. Now the magicians are seeing this is no magic at all this is a Alahiym. [Are saying this is a Power(s).] So now not only is Pharaoh seeing a difference but the Magicians. Next the servants will this power. Notice the progression; notice how Yahuah put this together. Next plague Ex. 8:20 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he comes forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus says Yahuah, Let my people go, that they may serve me. Ex. 8:21 Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are. Ex. 8:22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am Yahuah in the midst
of the earth. Ex. 8:23 And I will put a division between my people and your people: to morrow shall this sign be. Ex. 8:24 And Yahuah did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants houses, and into all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt} : the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies. Look how the plagues are progressing. Look how precise Yahuah is being. He appoints a time. And He is showing how He can control these plagues. They will not harm His people, but yours. There was nothing his mighty one can do about it. Ex. 8:29 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} said, Behold, I go out from you, and I will entreat Yahuah that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to Yahuah. Ex. 8:30 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} went out from Pharaoh, and entreated Yahuah. Ex. 8:31 And Yahuah did according to the word of Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} ; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one. Ex. 8:32 And Pharaoh hardened {Strengthened} his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go. Note worthy, Pharaoh s always considered themselves as gods as well. Pharaoh did not want to see the Alahiym of the Hebrews were stronger then him or the mighty ones of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. They were the strongest nation of their day. Ex. 9:1 Then Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus says Yahuah Alahiym of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. Ex. 9:2 For if you refuse to let them go, and will hold them still, Ex. 9:3 Behold, the hand of Yahuah is upon your cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain. Ex. 9:4 And Yahuah shall sever between the cattle of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} and the cattle of Mitsraiym {Egypt} : and there shall nothing die of all that is the children s of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}. Ex. 9:5 And Yahuah appointed a set time, saying, To morrow Yahuah shall do this thing in the land. Ex. 9:6 And Yahuah did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Mitsraiym {Egypt} died: but of the cattle of the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} died not one. The precision in time and now space is happening. Yahuah wants Pharaoh to see just how powerful He is. Notice that at anytime Pharaoh could have submitted. But because of what was in his heart, Yahuah amplified. Ex. 9:7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened {stubborn}, and he did not let the people go. Notice the struggle Pharaoh is having. One minute he wants to let Yahuah s people go. Then gets strength and courage in his heart and changes his mind.
Then he would be grieved, or stubborn and not let them go. These struggles are meant for him to see and willing come to Him, willingly submit. We go through the same struggles on a different level. We want to do his Word. But our interest or desires sometimes becomes stronger then His word in our heart. We can also be stubborn. So before we look at Pharaoh s decisions take a look at your own and see if you are doing the same thing but on a different scale. Ex. 9:8 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and unto Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh. Ex. 9:9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 9:10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. Ex. 9:11 And the magicians could not stand before Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians. Ex. 9:12 And Yahuah hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as Yahuah had spoken unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}. Yahuah at this point is like saying, I will give you the strength to do it. I do not want you to give into me because of lack of strength. I want you to give into me because in your heart, you want too. We will talk about this in a couple of weeks, but question, Why 10 plagues? The Egyptians had 10 main mighty ones. Each one had a job. Each one did not share or like one another. Yahuah wanted to show the following things: Their mighty ones are nothing There is no other one like Him I will destroy all that is called a mighty one in the land, witness of His power. All will know who I am. Ex. 9:13 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus says Yahuah Alahiym of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. Ex. 9:14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth. Ex. 9:15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite you and your people with pestilence; and you shall be cut off from the earth. Ex. 9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised you up, for to show in you my power {I have allowed you to fight against me} ; and that my name may be declared throughout all {So I can show you my power and so it can be declared in all the earth} the earth. Ex. 9:17 As yet exalt you yourself against my people, that you will not let them go? Ex. 9:18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail,
such as has not been in Mitsraiym {Egypt} since the foundation thereof even until now. This plague was like no other. This plague will come with a warning and a plan of escape. Next we will read as the hail comes down ice and fire will be one. This would be something no one has ever seen. What we see is the warning is to let you know I have confidence it will happen and I will win. But I am giving my enemy a chance before it is to late. The mighty one(s) of Mitsraiym {Egypt} could never give warnings, or divide the plagues between their people and others. This Mighty one has a conscious if you will. Egyptians know that a fire deity and a ice deity would never work with each other. Let us see what Pharaoh says after all of this. Ex. 9:19 Send therefore now, and gather your cattle, and all that you have in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die. Ex. 9:20 He that feared the word of Yahuah among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses: Ex. 9:21 And he that regarded not the word of Yahuah left his servants and his cattle in the field. Ex. 9:22 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Stretch forth your hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 9:23 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and Yahuah sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and Mitsraiym {Egypt} rained hail upon the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}. Ex. 9:24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt} since it became a nation. Ex. 9:25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt} all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field. Ex. 9:26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} were, was there no hail. Ex. 9:27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: Yahuah is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. Ex. 9:28 Entreat Yahuah (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thundering and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer. Notice Pharaoh gets the understanding of the power of Yahuah by the 7 th plague. What I want us to see is. If we are going to stubborn in our heart or strengthen our hearts for our desire, there is a consequence to it. But if you do the will of Yahuah there is a reward. 2Th. 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2Th. 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom Yahuah shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th. 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2Th. 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2Th. 2:11 And for this cause Alahiym shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2Th. 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Psa. 37:4 Delight yourself also in Yahuah; and he shall give you the desires of your heart. After all of this you would think Pharaoh had enough. But what does Pharaoh do? Hardens his heart. This was not Yahuah hardening his heart. Ex. 9:34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened {stubborn} his heart, he and his servants. Ex. 9:35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened {Strengthened}, neither would he let the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} go; as Yahuah had spoken by Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}. Before this plague when he strengthened his heart, it was because his magicians were able to duplicate the plague. The only other time was because Yahuah strengthened his heart. Now we see he was stubborn and he strengthened his heart all by himself. He consciously knows Yahuah is now thee Creator, but is now forcing this out of his heart. We will see what changes take place next time.
