T [h] urah {Turah/Torah} Portions, Haftarah & the Good News בשלח Bashalach {When He Sent} T [h] urah {Turah/Torah/Intructions} Haftarah Bariyth Chadashah {New Testament} Good-News Shamut [h] {Shemot/Exodus} 13:17-17:16 Shaphtiym {Judges} 4:4-5:31 Matithyahu {Matthew} 5:1-48 Ex. 13:19 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} took the bones of Yahusaph {Yosef/Joseph} with him: for he had straightly sworn the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}, saying, Alahiym will surely visit you; and you shall carry up my bones away hence with you. Ex. 13:20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. Ex. 13:21 And Yahuah went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: Ex. 13:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. Is. 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by your name, to take away our reproach. Is. 4:2 In that day shall the branch of Yahuah be beautiful and esteemed, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}. Is. 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, shall be called set-apart, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: Is. 4:4 When Yahuah shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. Is. 4:5 And Yahuah will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the esteem shall be a defense. Is. 4:6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. o ע נ ן ʿanan, aw-nawn ; from 6049; a cloud (as covering the sky), i.e. the nimbus or thunder-cloud: cloud(-y). Ex. 20:20 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} said unto the people, Fear not: for Alahiym is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that you sin not. Ex. 20:21 And the people stood afar off, and Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} drew near unto the thick darkness where Alahiym was. ʿaraphel, ar-aw-fel ; probably from 6201; gloom (as of a lowering ע ר פ ל sky): (gross, thick) dark (cloud, -ness). Ezek. 34:12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of {In a day of cloud all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day
and thick darkness}. Ezek. 34:13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. Now again, the word for cloud here is anan.ענן This isn t a rain cloud; but, literally means to veil over or to obscure. What s really interesting here is that its use in Scripture, including twice in Yakazqa al {Ezekiel} 38:9, 16 Ezek. 38:9 You shall ascend and come like a storm, you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you, and all your bands, and many people with you. Ezek. 38:16 And you shall come up against my people of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring you against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be purified in you, O Gog, before their eyes. Yakazqa al {Ezekiel} Chapter 38, is about armies that are referred to as clouds covering the land or earth. They are also referred to as causing great darkness to cover the earth or land. The picture is that this pillar of cloud, which concealed Yahuah, is made up of the armies of heaven. By night Yahuah was in a column of fire or a mood aish אש Aish fire. Alahiym refers to Himself as a Consuming Fire many times in Scripture. Alahiym also speaks of the fire of His wrath. Fire or Aish gives light. Light is what is referred to here, in this verse. That is why another meaning for aish is splendor or brightness. In Hebraic thought, this process is described as emanations of darkness and light. The darkness, the seeming absence of Alahiym s presence is called tsimtsum, which is the cloud or veil that obscures or covers heaven. It can be darkness that is felt, as Scripture describes it. But, Yahuah is there, in it. In Bereshiyth {Genesis} 15:12-13 this darkness falls upon Abraham and Alahiym is their speaking to him, even though Abraham is seemingly unaware of it, as he s asleep. Gen. 15:12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an fear {horror} of great darkness fell upon him { Overwhelmed /נפל}. o Gen. 2:21 And Yahuah Alahiym caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; tardemah, tar-day-maw ; from 7290; a lethargy or תּ ר דּ מ ה (by implication) trance: deep sleep. i.e. radam, raw-dam ; a primitive root; to stun, ר ד ם 290. stupefy (with sleep or death): (be fast a-, be in a deep,
cast into a dead, that) sleep(-er, -eth). This process all mankind will go through. Those that are dead, and those that are alive. Gen. 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. Ex. 10:21 And Yahuah said unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, even darkness which may be felt. Ex. 10:22 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Mitsraiym {Egypt} three days: o Ex. 20:21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where Alahiym was. Ex. 10:23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} had light in their dwellings. o Yahuah gave them a feel of death. Yahuah was in the darkness. Back to the T [h] urah portion Ex. 14:7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, and captains over every one of them. Ex. 14:8 And Yahuah hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Mitsraiym {Egypt}, and he pursued after the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} : and the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} went out with an high hand. Ex. 14:9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon. They camp before Pi Hahiroth which literally translates in Egyptian language as the mouth of the graves. {see: Ex. 14:2}. o It is between Migdol and Ba al Tsephon o Migdol is another Egyptian word meaning high places. This place is near the northern border of Mitsraiym {Egypt} and from here, the mighty ones of Mitsraiym {Egypt} were supposed to be watching over Mitsraiym s {Egypt s} northern border. When this word was brought into the Hebrew language, it was translated as tower. o Ba al Tsephon means lord of the north. Now, this lord of the north s name is typhon in Egyptian, and this guy is the oldest and mightiest of Mitsraiym s {Egypt s} mighty ones. It even pre-dates Ra, their sun deity.
The Egyptians worshipped the god Typhon. Red bulls and very rarely even humans were sacrificed and burned on the grate of Typhon. The sacrifice was given the name Typhos. Then the ashes from the burned sacrifice was taken by the priests and thrown into the air. The Egyptians believed that if any of this ash fell on the skin of a living Egyptian, the person was safe from any defilement (anything that would cause the person to be physically ill and therefore spiritually unclean). Yahuah brings it all together here, in the face of the graves {Egypt s past}, in the face of all the mighty ones that are watching over Mitsraiym {Egypt}, even the mightiest one, the lord of the north. He brings them all into judgment before Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}. o Here, Yahuah destroys Pharaoh and the army of Mitsraiym {Egypt} in the face of those mighty ones, who are powerless against the Mighty One of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel}. Yahuah used the very instrument of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} salvation, the Sea of reeds or yum Suf to destroy. Ex. 15:1 Then sang Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} this song unto Yahuah, and spoke, saying, I will sing unto Yahuah, for he has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea. Ex. 15:2 Yahuah is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my Alahiym, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father s Alahiym, and I will exalt him. Ex. 15:3 Yahuah is a man of war: Yahuah is his name. Ex. 15:4 Pharaoh s chariots and his host has he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. Ex. 15:5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone. Ex. 15:6 Your right hand, O Yahuah, is become glorious in power: your right hand, O Yahuah, has dashed in pieces the enemy. Ex. 15:7 And in the greatness of your excellency you have overthrown them that rose up against you: you sent forth your wrath, which consumed them as stubble. Ex. 15:8 And with the blast of your nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. Ex. 15:9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. Ex. 15:10 You did blow with your wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters. Ex. 15:11 Who is like unto you, O Yahuah, among the gods? who is like you, esteemed
in set-apartness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Ex. 15:12 You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them. Ex. 15:13 You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength unto your set-apart habitation. Ex. 15:14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. Ex. 15:15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. Ex. 15:16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of your arm they shall be as still as a stone; till your people pass over, O Yahuah, till the people pass over, which you have purchased. Ex. 15:17 You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, in the place, O Yahuah, which you have made for you to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Adan {Adon}, which your hands have established. Ex. 15:18 Yahuah shall reign for ever and ever. Ex. 15:19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Yahuah brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} went on dry land in the midst of the sea. Ex. 15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. Ex. 15:21 And Miriam answered them, Sing you to Yahuah, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider has he thrown into the sea. Miriam is called the sister of Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}. Why not the sister of Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} and Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron}? Why was she called a prophetess? What was believed is that Miriam had a prophecy when she was younger. And the prophecy was when she was only the sister of Aaron. Ex. 2:2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. Ex. 2:3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river s brink. Ex. 2:4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him. Dead Sea scrolls The second mention of Miriam in the Visions of Amram comes in 44546, 12, 3-4: "and he clung to Aharoon {Aharon/Aaron} to be [ ] and the secret of Miriam he made for th[em..." In the Biblical Antiquities of Pseudo-Philo, Miriam has a prophetic dream concerning the birth of Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} (9:10)." Ex. 2:7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh s daughter, Shall I go and call to you a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?
Ex. 2:8 And Pharaoh s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child s mother. Ex. 2:9 And Pharaoh s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it. Notice his sister Miriam went to the daughter of Pharaoh. Why? Could it be that she wanted to see if the prophecy was going to be fulfilled? Now can you see why she went out and the woman danced? Parallels of two stories Ex. 14:21 And Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} stretched out his hand over the sea; and Yahuah caused the sea to go back by a strong { mighty/power /עז} east { Ancient/eternal/everlasting /קדם} wind divided. } all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were בּ ר וּח ק ד ים ע זּ ה }{ Spirit /רוח} Gen. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Alahiym moved upon the face of the waters. Gen. 1:3 And Alahiym said, Let there be light: and there was light. Gen. 1:4 And Alahiym saw the light, that it was good: and Alahiym divided the light from the darkness. Ex. 14:20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} ; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. A separation between light and darkness Gen. 1:6 And Alahiym said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Gen. 1:7 And Alahiym made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. Ex. 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and Yahuah caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. Ex. 14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. See the next separation was between water and dry land Gen. 1:9 And Alahiym said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. What was the purpose for the dry land? Allow animal and vegetation to grow. All this just to say He allowed life to grow on dry land.
Ex. 14:24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch Yahuah looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, Ex. 14:25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Yashra al {Yisrael/Israel} ; for Yahuah fights for them against the Egyptians. Yahuah cause confusion among the Egyptians. Gen. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Alahiym moved upon the face of the waters. Ex. 16:4 Then said Yahuah unto Mushah {Mosheh/Moses}, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. Here, Alahiym provides meat, quails, for all to eat. And then, the next morning, He provides bread by means of the dew. However, what s really interesting, is what we read in the last half of verse 4, speaking of this bread or manna ; And the people shall go out and gather a portion every day, in order to try them, whether they walk in My T [h] urah {Turah/Instructions} or not. Yahuah said they were to gather a portion every day, in order to test them, to see if they will walk in His T [h] urah {Turah/Instructions}. In the Hebrew T [h] urah {Turah/Instructions}, the word translated as portion is debar, the word, that which is spoken, as well as the mouth, as in the Mouth of Alahiym. o o Perhaps this is what Yahusha said we should ask for, when we pray, in Mattityahu {Matthew} 6:11; Give us today our daily bread. Mushah {Mosheh/Moses} reminds us, as he s reminding Yashra al {Yisrael/Isreal} in the wilderness, in Dabariym (plural of debar) {Deuteronomy} 8:3; M$ dda`dh h RyVjŷ wø;dabvl MRj R;lAh_lAo aâøl yi;k #ÔKSoáîdwøh NAo AmVl ÔKy RtObSa N wäo dîy añøl w D;tVo$ådÎy_aøl r RvSa ND;mAh tra ôôkvl`iksa`a yåw ~ÔKRbIo rå yåw ÔK nao y`aw Deut. 8:3 :Má ddadh h RyVjŷ h Dwh y_y`ip a Dxwøm_lD;k_lAo y I;k And He [Yahuah] humbled you, and let you suffer hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, to make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of Yahuah.
