3 Dear Players, Coaches, Parents, and Friends, On behalf of the Parsippany Soccer Club it is our pleasure to welcome you to the XXVIII (28th) Anniversary of The Parsippany Pride Invitational Soccer Tournament. The tournament has continued to grow over the years, in both the number of teams and the level of competition. This year s tournament boasts over 550 teams from the Northeast (5 states) along with Canada! As always, we are greatly indebted to each club and team for your ongoing support and enthusiasm for our tournament. This tournament is made possible by the tremendous efforts of many people and the generous support of numerous individuals and businesses. A special thank you goes to Mayor Jamie Barberio and the Township of Parsippany Troy Hills, Jim Walsh and the Department of Parks and Forestry, and the Parsippany Board of Education. We also wish to acknowledge Boonton Township for the use of the RVA fields, Mt. Lakes Boonton Township Boonton Soccer Club, Montville Soccer Association for the use of Community Park and Camp Dawson fields, Morris Catholic High School, Roxbury Soccer Club, Roxbury Recreation Department for the use of Horseshoe Lake fields, and Hanover Soccer Club for the use of Allegro and Memorial School fields. Without the help and cooperation of everyone, we would not have been able to prepare our facilities to hold this tournament. Thank you for your help! The success of our tournament weekend also pays tribute to the significant hours of time and commitment by our tournament committee members and local parent volunteers in our travel and intramural program. We greatly thank them for all of their efforts. Out of respect for the facilities and your fellow participants, please adhere to the following: Be at the field ready to play a minimum of 30 minutes before game time. All matches need to begin and end on time. Respect the Tournament s Zero Tolerance policy, which applies to players, coaches, and spectators. Respect the game and the Referees Collect all trash after your game and place in the trash barrels at each site. Most of all enjoy a great weekend of soccer. We hope you thoroughly enjoy your tournament weekend. We ask that all players, coaches, parents and other participants remember to act with a high level of sportsmanship and respect. Good luck to all and have a wonderful soccer experience. Yours in Soccer, Bob Bob Birth President, Parsippany SC Parsippany Soccer Club PRIDE Tournament 3
