YOM KIPPUR At Kol Nidrei Services, Rabbi Newm= will preach in the Temple; Rabbi Soltes in the Auxiliary Services in the Marcus Loew Auditorium, and Rabbi Gelb at the Youth Services, 4 West 76th Street. Satu.rday Morning, Rabbi Soltes will preach in the Temple; Rabbi Newman at the Auxiliary Services in the Temp le House and later at the Youth Services; at Memorial Services, Rabbi Newman will prea ch in the Temple; Rabbi Gelb at the Auxiliary Services in the Temple House, and Rabbi Soltes at ~he Youth Services. At the Youth Services there will be a maximum participation by the Congregation in the singing and the reading of the Services, both individually and ccllledively. The young peclple are invited to remain for the Yizkor Services since they will be devoted chiefly to the commemoration of our soldier dead and the martyrs of Israel. At the Children's Services we trust that our boys and girls will come a few moments before 1:15 and return to their homes promptly at the dose of the Services. Do not come too early or too late!

Mondays, Thursdays and fridays are the days and the hours' 10:00 o'clock until 4:00 in the afternoon. SUKKOTH SERVICES Sukkoth Services will be held on Wednesday Evening, October 9th, at 5:30 o'clock, and Thursday Morning, Odober 10th, at 10 o'clock. Rabbi Newman will preach. We invite gifts of canned foods for donation for the cause of overseas relief. Instead of gifts of fresh fruits, flowers and vegetables, we trust you will remember to bring these offerings of canned foods which will be heaped up in fron! of the Altar. The Ladies of the Sisterhood and the P.T.A. will decorate the Sukkah, which in accordance with our custom, is erected on the Altar in the Temple. ROLL OF REMEMBRANCE With this Chronicle is enclosed a list of those departed whose memory will be honored at the Yizkor Services on Yom Kippur. As has been customary, no names will be read from the pulpit, but a collective Prayer will be recited in tribute to these beloved ones. A supplementary list will be printed in the next issue of the Chronicle of those whose names have reached our Temple Office too late to be included in the original Roll.

Hirschmann, distinguished pubiicist, who ha s just returned from abroad, will be the guest speaker at Sabbath Eve Services. INDUCTION OF RABBI SOLTES Friday Evening, October 25th, a t 8 o'clock, Induction Services of Rabbi A vraham Soltes, Associate Rabbi 01 Rodeph Sholom, will be held in the Temple. Rabbi Stephen S. We trust that Co,pgregants will make note of this occasion in their calendar. Rabbi Newman and Mr. Joseph Pulvermacher, President of Rodeph Sholom, will present Rabbi Soltes to the Congregation. Rabbi Soltes will respond. A special Order of Music is being planned by Cantor Meitzoff for the Services, after which there will be a Reception in honor of Rabbi. and Mrs. Soltes in the Marcus Loew Auditorium, Admission will be by invitation only. COMMUNITY SERVICE Our Congregation has again extended to the Committee for Refugee Education hospitality in its Temple House for extension classes for the foreign-born in Americanization, readingcmd diction. Classes are held here on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings. The 65th Street Alumni.Club, composed of war veterans.and former hostesses of the Jewish Weifare Board Canteen are again meeting in our Temple House every Thursday night. Nearly BOO young people congregate weekly for social and philanthropic activities. YOM KlPPUB SERVICES Kol N'idrei Services will begin promptly this Friday evening at 7:0Q o'dock. Congregants are requested to be in their pews at this hour as no one will be seated during the sacred chant. Mr. YoUry Bilstin, noted cellist, will play the "Kol Nidre" of Max Bruch. On Saturday afternoon at 1:15 the Children's Yom Ki.ppur Day Service will be held in the Marcus Loew Auditorium. We invite our parents to attend this Service. We regret that no one can be admitted to the Tempie without a,card. A few tickets are still available for our Auxiliary Services in the Auditorium. MEN'S ASSOClAUON The next meeting of the Men' s As~ sociation will be held on TUESDAY EVENING, OcrOBER 15th, in the MARCUS LOEW AUDITORIUM in the Temple House. FRANCIS CARLYLE America's Foremost Mentalist will entertain at the MEN'S ASSOCIATION OPEN MEETING Tuesday Evenmg, October 15th at 8;30 in the Marcus Loew Auditorium Mr. Carlyle brings the audience into active participation with him in a most entertaining and stimulating manner.
