2 INTRODUCTION The aim of this booklet is to introduce the reader to the topic from the Qur an. It can be studied on its own and it also complements the video lecture of the same topic which accompanies it. The booklet contains ayaat (Qura nic verses) pertaining to the topic as discussed in the video lecture in a question and answer format. Questions are raised, and their answers are given by the ayaat. The ordering and numbering of the ayaat corresponds with those on the lecture which can be downloaded from the video lectures section of IIPC website: The Qura nic references provided herein are not exhaustive but offer the core essence of the subject. The references that have been excluded in this publication can be researched using any good concordance and it will be discovered that the selection introduced in this publication will harmonize the entire sequence. It is hoped that Muslim readers will memorize these ayaat along with their Arabic text and engage in Da wah (propagation of Islam) to their friends and colleagues, and also be able to recite the same in their Salah (prayer). In this manner, the booklet becomes a useful tool for everyday Muslim practice - Insha Allah. 4 AAL-E-IMRAN 3 Attributes of Essa / Jesus (p.b.u.h) Essa / Jesus (p.b.u.h) is mentioned 25 times in Al-Quran. Surah / Ayah No Arabic English Aal-e-Imran 3:45 Word of Allah. An-Nisa 4:171 Spirit of Allah. 45. When the angels said, O Maryam / Mary (pbuh) surely Allah gives you the good news of a word from Him, his name will be Al-Maseeh Essa / Christ Jesus (pbuh), the son of Maryam / Mary (pbuh), held in honour in this world and in the hereafter and from those who are close ones. 5 AAL-E-IMRAN 3 47.She said, my Lord how he will become a son for me when no man has touched me? He said, even so Allah creates what He wills. When the order is complete, then surely He said for him, be and he becomes. BIBLICAL CONTRADICTION IN THE GENEOLOGY OF JESUS Of the four Gospel writers, God inspired only two of them to record the genealogy of His son to make it easy for you to compare the fathers and grandfathers of Jesus Christ in both the inspired lists. Matthew to record only 26 ancestors for His son. But Luke had also inspired, gathered upto 41 forefathers for Jesus. The only name common to these two lists between David and Jesus is Joseph and that too a supposed father according to Luke 3:23 (AV). This one name is glaring. You will also easily observe that the lists are grossly contradictory. Could both the lists have emanated from the same source, i.e. God? GENESIS 1:3 And God said,"let there be light" and there was light. Jesus (PBUH) is mentioned as son of man 83 times and Son of God 13 times in the Bible. POINT Ibne Maryam / Son of Mary is mentioned 23 times in Al-Quran. 3 4

And he will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity. And he will be from those who correct themselves. MARYAM He said, surely I am a servant of Allah. He has given me Al-Kitab / The Book and made me a prophet. POINT All four gospels according to Mark, Matthew, Luke & John wrote that Jesus preached Injeel / Gospel only. 5 6

7 MARYAM And He made me blessed wheresoever I am, and gave me the testament with salah / prayer and zakah / justification as long as I am alive. 32. And has made me kind with my mother and never made me forceful, miserable. AAL-E-IMRAN 3 49.And a messenger to the children of Israel, that is without doubt I have come to you with an ayat / sign from your Lord. Surely that I create for you from the clay, as it was the figure of a bird (flyer) so I breathe in it so it becomes a bird (flyer) with the permission of Allah. And I heal the blind and the lepers and I give life to the dead with the permission of Allah. And I inform you with what you consume / eat and what you store in your houses. Surely in that is an ayat / sign for you if you are believers. 4. POINT JOHN 2 Jesus saith unto her, woman what have I do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come. Jesus p.b.u.h. called his mother woman but not mother. 7 8

8 AAL-E-IMRAN 3 AAL-E-IMRAN When Essa / Jesus (pbuh) felt the rejection from them he said, who are my helpers towards Allah? The companions / disciples said we are helpers of Allah. We believe with Allah and y ou bear witness that we are muslims / submitters. 53. Our Lord, we believe with what You have revealed and we follow the messenger, then write us with those who bear witness. 55. And when Allah said O Essa/Jesus (pbuh) surely I will mutawaffika / complete you (your soul / self / psyche) and raafiooka / raise you (in degrees) to Myself and purify you from those who reject, and I will make those who follow you superior to those who reject towards the day of judgement. So you will return to Me. Then I will govern between you in what you are varying / differing in it. AZ-ZUMAR And they (unbelievers) planned and Allah planned and Allah is the best of the planners. 42. Allah yatawaffa / completes the soul / self / psyche at the time of her death... XXXXXX AL-BAQARA 2 ST.MARK And they all forsook him and fled. 253.Those are the messengers We gave superiority to some of them over some. From them are those to whom Allah spoke and rafa / raised some of them in degrees... XXXXXX 9 10

9 AS-SAFF And when Essa / Jesus (pbuh) the son of Maryam / Mary (pbuh) said O children of Israel, surely I am a messenger of Allah to you, confirming what is between my two hands from At-Taurah / The Law and giver of a good news with the messenger who will come after me whose name will be Ahmed / more praiseworthy. So when he came to them with clarifications, they said, this is a clear magic. AN-NISA And (when Allah completed the soul /self / psyche of Essa / Jesus pbuh) their saying is that, surely we have killed the Maseeh Essa / Christ Jesus the son of Maryam / Mary (pbuh), messenger of Allah. And they did not kill him and they did not crucify him and it was made similar for them (similarity is that they killed Essa / Jesus pbuh). And surely those who differ in it definitely they are in doubt from it, they do not have the knowledge with it except they follow the conjecture. And certainly they did not kill him. MARYAM And salam / peace is on me the day I was born and (peace is on me) the day I will die and (peace is on me) the day I will be appointed alive. POINTS. When Allah completed the soul / self / psyche of Essa /Jesus (pbuh) then people said that we have killed him. Allah has made this similar for them. Similarity is that they killed Essa / Jesus (pbuh)

10 AN-NISA But (after completing the soul / self / psyche of Essa / Jesus pbuh) Allah rafa / raised him (in degrees) to Himself and Allah is exalted in Power, Wise. AZ-ZUKHRUF Surely he (Essa / Jesus pbuh) is definitely the knowledge for the hour. (of the day of judgement). So do not doubt with it and follow Me. This is the straight path. POINTS (After completing the soul/self/psyche of Essa / Jesus pbuh) Allah rafa / raised him (in degrees) to Himself. (An-Nisa 4:158) This is a confirmation of what Allah has said earlier to Essa / Jesus (pbuh). O Essa / Jesus (pbuh) I will mutawaffika / complete you (your soul / self / psyche) and rafa / raise you (in degrees) to Myself. (AAL-E-IMRAN 3:55) AL-MAIDA And when Allah said O Essa / Jesus (pbuh) the son of Maryam / Mary (pbuh) did you say to mankind that you take me and my mother as gods other than Allah? He said, glory to You, never could I say with what I had no right. If I have said such a thing, so definitely You would have known it. You know what is in my soul / self / psyche and I do not know what is in Your soul / self / psyche. Surely You are knower of all that is absent. MARK 16:19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. JOHN 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the son of man

11 AL-MAIDA I never said to them except what You ordered me with it, that is to serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them while I live among them. When You tawaffaitani / completed me (my soul / self / psyche) You were the watcher over them. And You are a witness over all things. POINTS. When You tawaffaitani / completed me (my soul / self / psyche) AL-MAIDA 5:117 AL-MAIDA If You punish them then surely they are Your servants, and if You forgive them then surely You are exalted in Power, Wise. ST.MATTHEW 7 22.Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity. This is a confirmation by Essa / Jesus p.b.u.h. to what Allah has said earlier. é O Essa / Jesus I will mutawaffika / complete you (your soul/self/psyche) AAL-E-IMRAN 3:55 MARK 13:25,26 And the powers in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory

12 AN-NISA And there is no one from the people of the book except must believe with it before his own death. And on the day of judgement he (Essa / Jesus pbuh) will be a witness over them. AL-MAIDA Allah will say, this is the day on which the truthful will profit from their truth. For them are gardens with rivers flowing beneath, they will live in it forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. That is the great success. POINT We pray that Allah guides every truth seeker to the truth. AL-MAIDA Without doubt those who reject saidsurely Allah is Maseeh / Christ (pbuh) the son of Maryam / Mary (pbuh) is Allah / God. And the Maseeh / Christ (pbuh) said O children of Israel, serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates with Allah, so without doubt Allah will forbid the garden over him and the fire will be his abode. And for the opppressers there will be no one to help. JOHN I and my Father are one. 31.Then the jews took up stones again to stone him. 32.Jesus answered them, many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33.The Jews answered him, saying, for a good work we stone thee not ;but for blasphemy; and because of that thou being a man, makest thyself God

13 73. AL-MAIDA 5 Without doubt those who reject said surely Allah / God is one of the three in a trinity. And there is no god except one God. And if they did not stop about what they say, definitely a painful punishment will touch the rejecters from them. MARYAM And they said, most Gracious (Allah) has taken a son. 89. Without doubt you have come with a horrible thing. 90. As if the skies are ready to burst and the earth to split asunder and the mountains fall down in destruction. 1 JOHN 5 7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the father, the word, and the holy ghost and these three are one. 91. That they call a son for most Gracious (Allah). 92. And it is not the desire for most Gracious (Allah) that He would take a son. ST.JOHN For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

14 AAL-E-IMRAN Surely the example of Essa / Jesus (pbuh) in the nearness of Allah is like the example of Adam. He created him from dust then said for him be and he becomes. 60. The truth is from your Lord so do not be from those who doubt. Questions & Answers 61. So whoever argue in this with you after the knowledge has come to you, then say, come! we call our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves. Then let us earnestly pray so we make the curse of Allah over the liars

15 Q1. In surah Nisa 4:157 when Allah gave death to Essa / Jesus (p.b.u.h) then people have claimed that we have killed Essa / Jesus (pbuh). But Allah answered them back that you have not killed him nor you have crucified him. When people only claimed his killing then why Allah also said you have not crucified him? AL-MAIDA Surely the reward of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and they move around in the earth to cause corruption, is that they will be killed, or they will be crucified, or their hands and feet will be cut off from the opposite sides or they will be exiled from the land. For them that is a disgrace in this world and in the last is a great punishment for them. Q2. If the present day bible is not the teachings of Jesus (pbuh) then what is the status of bible? AL-BAQARA 2 79.Then woe to those who write Al-Kitab / The Book with their hands (in their languages) then they say this is from the nearness of Allah, to purchase with it for a little price. Then woe to them from what their hands wrote, and woe to them from what they earn

16 Q3. In Quran the word mutawaffi i.e. to complete is used with Essa / Jesus (pbuh). Is this word wafaat i.e. to complete is used with others also besides Essa / Jesus (p.b.u.h).? AZ-ZUMAR Allah yatawaffa / completes the soul / self / psyche at the time of her deathand that (soul / self / psyche) who do not die in its sleep, then He (Allah) holds (soul / self / psyche) whose death completes over it and He sends the other (soul / self / psyche) for an appointed period. Surely in it are ayats / signs for those people who reflect. GHAFIR 40 PL 67. He (Allah) is the one Who created you from dust then from sperm then from leech then He take you out as a child then you reach (the age of) full strength then you become old. And from you there are who die from before and you reach appointed period and so that you use your intellect

17 Q4.After listening your lecture it seems that you are giving more importance to Essa / Jesus (pbuh) over Mohammad (p.b.u.h).? AN-NISA Surely those who reject with Allah and His messengers and they want that they differentiate between Allah and His messengers, and they say we believe with some and we reject with some. And they want that they take a way in between. Q5. In surah Saff 61:6 Essa / Jesus (p.b.u.h) is giving good news of a messenger after him. Is there any similar reference in the bible? ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE AND CHRISTIANS FAITH. JOHN 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you. But If I depart I will send him unto you. JOHN 14:16 And I will pray the father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. JOHN 16:12,13 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How beit when he the spirit of truth,is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of him-self; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak and he will show you things to come They are those who are the rejecters in truth. And We have prepared humiliating punishment for the rejecters. AN-NAHL 16 MMRRØvßÖ ] 102. Say, rooh-ul-qudus / the holy spirit is revealed with the truth from your Lord to strengthen those who believe and a guidance and good news for the muslims / submitters

18 ASH-SHUARA 26 NR 192. And surely it (Quran / Book) is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds Revealed with it (Quran / Book) rooh-ul-ameen / the trustworthy spirit. 29
