12 Grading System Marks Range Grade Grade Point A 1 A 2 B 1 B 2 C 1 C 2 D E 1 E First Term = U 1 (10%) + U 2 (10%) + T 1 (30%). Second Term = U 3 (20%) + T 2 (30%). General Instructions: U 1 test shall be held in December, the U 2 test shall be held in April and the U 3 test shall be held in August. The 1 st Semester Examination will be held in June 2013 and 2 nd Semester Examination will be held in October Unit Test, (I), (II) and (III) carries 10% of Marks each. 1 st Semester carries 30% of Marks and 2 nd Semester carries 40% of Marks. Besides testing the scholastic areas, the child would also be checked for co-scholastic areas like attentiveness, imagination, participation in programmes, games, communication, co-operation, team spirit, leadership qualities, sharing and his/her attitude towards teachers, school, value systems, cleanliness etc. Page No. 11
